I ordered a Michaels burger with fries to go and I received no fries. $29 for a medium rare burger.

Really nice vibes and atmosphere. Food was good although it wasn't that warm when it came out.

Overpriced, underwhelming. The bread was the best part. Nothing struck us as great, and when the $300 bill landed for the two of us, it occurred to us that the salmon was over powered by the onion / bok choi, the Brussels sprouts were small and under cooked, the onion soup had a burnt flavor, the spare rib was cold, literally everything was underwhelming for an average restaurant, and extremely disappointing for a restaurant of this price range. The Vieux Carrie was nice and the sour dough bread would have been excellent if it was warmed. We didn’t get Michael’s magic.

Before we even ordered, Michael came out and greeted us himself. An unexpected treat. The food was fantastic. The ambience was too tier. Wish I was I local so I could enjoy this gem more often.

A gem of Santa Monica. Wonderful staff and food. For the locals, but everyone will feel welcome.

Absolute trash. We went there for the first time today for happy hour because fig at5 was full and oh boy we wish we didn’t. The worst service, lobster roll was gray, bitter and off tasting, corned beef slider sour…service didn’t exist, martini made of old olive juice…and we could keep going on…

We had an amazing meal here. The back patio was perfect for a group of 5 of us at a roundtable, able to talk with everyone. The food was excellent as was the service. The pasta special with mushrooms and truffle was wonderful.

The atmosphere is friendly, the food is interesting and excellent. The happy hour is a great value and Mac’s warm welcome makes it a special place to be. And the cocktails and wine list are great!

Came in and my jaw hit the floor with how nice it is inside. Then came the service. Completely awful. Got seated at 7: 20, last dish came at 9: 28. Pizza was incorrect and we said it's wrong and they tried to convince us, we were wrong. Later they had to get the right pizza. Never apologized, no remorse. Spent more time topping up water than delivering food.

Servers were confused about whose table was whose. Cocktails took forever. Dirty floors. Dirty tables. Smelly bathroom. Cheap chairs and tables from Ikea. Overpriced, bland food. Restaurant seems either understaffed, mismanaged, or both.

While the food at Michael's is great, the service is lacking (see reviews below). We came in to celebrate a special occasion and felt forgotten - it took a long time to get our drinks, food, check etc.

Great place to eat if you want to get gouged and walk away hungry. If you think it is okay to order a $32 cheese board and get 1 ice cube size cut of blue cheese, Brie and Gouda cheese then you will love this place. We laughed when the cheese board arrived! We did however get two slices of bread with the board and when my dad asked for butter we were told it would cost 4$! $4 for a side of butter - never in my life have I had to pay for butter that is like having to pay for cream and sugar for your coffee!? I was very embarrassed for my dad and honestly felt very taken advantaged of by the dining experience. My brother in law ordered oysters and said they were the smallest oysters he ever had. I will never ever ever go back. I have also never written a review so I don’t know really know how this works but I want to warn as many people as possible this place could take your money and leave you very disappointed like me.

Service was seriously confused and lacking. Food not nearly as good as the menu described. Overpriced for the quality. The patio was fabulous, sadly the food and entire experience took away from the beautiful surroundings. 5 stars for the patio.

Michael's has been around for 43 years or so. I have been going to dine there thru the 4 decades nev we have i had a bad dinner. This times was exceptionally awesome. European white asparagus, Duck confitt, 28 day dry aged rib eye and cheese course. Paired great with Rudd wines. Service was impecible.im looking forward to my next visit
