Micheladas Mex Grill, Northridge CA

From the first taste of the complimentary salsa we were hooked. So far I've done the Carne Asada, Chile Relleno Buritto, Chile Colorado, Chorico & Bean Dip (add a touch of salsa to it), Nachos, SteakFajitas and Buffalo Wings and every item has been done to perfection and I couldn't pick a favorite.
I'll just keep on going down the menu until I have a winner and I'm sure it will be a very tasty journey. I might even have to take three or more trips to find that favorite and I'll be a winner each time I come here.
Service is great at lunchtime as you get your order within ten minutes and Samantha keeps the salsa coming.
Try them. You'll like it and the tin Mariachi Band above the tables and the paintings hanging on the wall.

Food was not so great. Took a long time to have my enchilada plate come to my table. Enchilada plate was not good. The enchilada sauce was watery and the tortillas were hard. There was an issue with them bringing a Carne asada plate to my table when It wasn't ordered. However I ended up taking it home cause I was severely disappointed with the cheese enchilada plate that I received. In terms of the Carne asada plate, I ordered the asada well done. I received it medium. I found out when i got home and ended up having to cook it more. I ordered a flan which wasn't good. It was severely sweet. I love sweet but not that sweet. They seemed to have added more things to the flan to make it more sweet and make it look fancy. Real good flan doesn't need all the theatrics.
The things that made me rate this a 3/5 was that the michelada was really really good. Loved the fresh cut cucumber and tajin they add on the rim. The salsa was really good as well.

We will go here again and again. Not only was the food delicious, the service was outstanding!

I took my wife here to celebrate our 4 years since having our first date around the area. I saw this place before when I was in the plaza the restraunt is located in but never had the chance to dine here. I figure my wife would love this place so tonight was the perfect time to come. The biggest issue you'll experience here is finding parking because it can get packed. I was lucky enough to find a spot near the front of the restrauant when I pulled in. When we walked in, Samantha took us to our table and the first thing you'll notice about her is her upbeat attitude. She was amazing and made sure we had a wonderful time. My wife started off with their tortilla soup which she loved. I got their Carne Asada entrée which I think the Carne asada was delicious until I got to the part where it was sitting on the onion. I know next time to ask for no beans and onions. My wife couldn't decide between the Mole or the Arroz Con Pollo so she asked Samantha for recommendation. She told her to order the Arroz Con Pollo and she'll bring the Mole sauce so my wife can try it with the chicken. We really love the amazing customer service and that she paid attention to our table throughout our meal. My wife loved the Mole more than the Arroz Con Pollo so she's planning on ordering that the next time we come here. This place has only been here for about 2 years so it's somewhat new.

Food: 5 star, the Carne asada was tasty and cooked perfectly to medium rare so I enjoyed it.

Service: 5 star, Samantha was amazing and we had a wonderful time dining here

Atmosphere: 5 star, the place is nicely decorated and they have some TV is you want to watch sports.

Parking: 2 star, parking will be most difficult part and we came on a Thursday night but the lot was fully pack.

Bought some tacos for my kids and came out with disgusting huge pieces of meat with tendons on it and the mest look horrible

I had a hard shell chicken taco, shrimp enchilada, beans and rice. I didn't enjoy any of it. The only thing I enjoyed was the chips, salsa and bean dip. The atmosphere and service were amazing.

Great spot to catch Sunday football in the bar area. Food was good, good portions too. All were attentive. Been before, I'll go again

I’ll be honest the only good thing here was the decor. I was excited to try this place based of some reviews I read but was quickly disappointed. The service was horrible our waitress would hardly visit our table and when she did she would always forget something from our order. We would have to ask around for her. We ordered the Molcajete and it was definitely missing seasoning. The presentation was nice but the flavor was mediocre! The drinks were good, but the waitress had forgotten the extra shot that came with the Cadillac margarita just left it sitting there and we asked her about it she said it wasn’t there before even though that was not true because we were by the side of the bar and we saw it there the whole entire time. If you like poor service and bland tasting food this place is for you.

Awesome tacos, specially the fried fish tacos (one of the best I've had). Table side guac is a must. Also their margaritas are yummy.

First time here, server didn’t put in our order and we waited around for a long time until someone else realized we didn’t have our order. They had to start again from scratch since the waiter left without putting our order in. Second time, we called our order in for pickup. They gave our order to another pickup person and pretended they were just waiting for the drinks instead of telling us the mistake. We found out about it after. Why would you lie to people instead of admitting your mistake? The fourth time I order on the online service that says is the preferred method of the business (says online) we walk in to pick it up and they don’t even know that we had ordered. Supposedly tickets didn’t come in. They didn’t take long to get our order ready but still always hesitate to come here due to the uncertainty of our food availability. I keep giving this place a chance but I need to wait until they get their act straight.

Chicken fajitas were great - light on chicken and heavy on veggies though. My wife cheese enchilada was pretty ordinary - raspberry lemonade was incredible

If you like Mexican food - this is place to go! They start with chips and freshly made salsa. My wife enjoyed huge strawberry margarita. The food choices are on five pages of beautiful menu. Everything was super tasty. Thank you!

Since discovering this place, I have introduced it to my family and friends. I have been coming back here at least once a week to try something new. Everything has been fresh and delicious. The portions are huge so plan on leftovers.

Ok so the quick rating is 1 star because when you're food is overpriced no one even cares how good the food is especially if the portions is small. This is what these restaurants don't understand. Its the main reason that people love the hole in the wall spots because they cater to the consumer. Great quality food and good portions for the money. Well. This is not that! The Food is super basic. I can go to Vallarta and get better food at a better price. The portions are small and unfortunately the food is average. The other thing is when the food is basic and super expensive, the bad attitudes and bad service hits different. I been in the area for a year and when I ask about Mexican food. No one ever mentions this place. Its quite obvious that somebody is eating here. But I question their judgment; after trying a burrito for $20 and it was full of fatty gristle extra chewy meat with dry rice and bland beans. It had a bad after taste like they don't use fresh meat or something. The burrito was inedible for $20 that hurt bad. But its a small price to pay to find out that Micheladas is not the spot to ever go to. They are masquerading as Mexican restaurant that sells food just better than Taco Bell, and that's not a compliment. Time to close the doors if you're not making enough money to buy quality ingredients and you have to charge 3x the price to make a profit, just stop it. This was a bad move.stay away. I'll just go to Chipotles next time.

I don’t understand these good reviews but I like my food seasoned and this is like a restaurant for people allergic to everything because nothing was seasoned. The food was bland and had no taste at all. I already had a feeling after my first bite of nacho with salsa. Even the nachos are not enjoyable. How can you mess up something so simple? And he still tried to charge us for a meal we didnt take a second bite. Even Taco Bell is way better than this. This place here by far the worst Mexican food ever. Also the toilet was full of vomit. After tasting their food I see why!
