Mid-Town Taqueria reviews
24The food is great but even though I always ask for no sour cream I still get it at least 50% of the time.
Tonight was jit that good, they rush heating up the enchiladas and when i hot home the shredded cheese was dtill shredded. Oh and they were skimpy on the sauce. Smh
I ordered food my son and I over DoorDash. #DoorDash was awesome but my burrito I ordered was horrible unfortunately. My rice hard as if it weren’t boiled the beans were hard and tasted horrible and my meat was burnt? It’s really unfortunate because I tend to go around Sacramento to test out Mexican food to see who is most tasteful. I can say I will not be returning.
Ordered shrimp burritos and California burritos. Maybe tacos would’ve been a better choice? I liked my shrimp burrito, but it was just ok. Chips seemed a bit stale, like made the day before and were a little greasy. Probably tasted better fresh out of fryer. But we went at 11: 00am so I expected them to be a little fresher.
Also the place seemed a little run down and not well maintained. Like a large package of corn tortillas on shelf with paper plates and stuff. Salsa on back counter next to dirty dishes. Dirty empty boxes everywhere beside the register and back counter. (Did not take pics) Not sure of cleanliness practices. I had high hopes walking in, it’s a super cute restaurant. But I guess just not for me.
One thing I did enjoy was the family atmosphere you could feel there.
Super friendly staff, awesome good, and great prices. This has become one of my favorite little Mexican shops in town. I highly recommend it.
Tacos are amazing I ordered the liengua and it just melted in your mouth plus they have really good salsa's
Excellent flavors, casual atmosphere and good friendly family. Definitely a regularly visited treat. Thanx.
The food is hit or miss. Tacos are great but the nachos were bland. The chips weren't cooked and the dish was microwaved.
Street style tacos have a great salsa on top. Highly recommend them. I ordered the chicken and they were delicious
By far some of the best tasting burritos I've had. Multiple times. And great value. Owner is around grating people. Nice older gent.
This place is so DIRTY (not to be confised with authentic look) i was very skeptical when i walked in to pick up my order. NOW, to add to my skepticism, this young girl gets out of the couter with a rag to wipe the tables. She drops the rag, kicks it with the right foot, picks it up and starts wiping the table.
They dont even season ANYTHING, the only thing with flavor was the juice i got.disappointed with them.
Used to love this place. Family would eat there at least two times a week, and it was great food and service. It's just not the same anymore. They messed up two of our three orders made everything to go when we didn't ask for take out and overall the lady working had a bad attitude with all the guest. Another guest asked for a soda refill which apparently are a dollar now, just not worth the stop.
Absolutley horrific food. I never give these reviews but their food was by far the worst mexican food ive ever had. The carne asada meat is gray and grissle. The taco was $2.09 and the size of an authentic street taco in mexico (very small). I could only eat one before feeling sick to my stomach instantly. I got my money back.
I tried this place through the Door dash app.their food is really good; reasonably priced; and the red salsa is amazing. Definitely my go-to lunch place.
Good, fast, authentic food. Its a small space and gets pretty busy, but the staff is usually plesant. Really enjoy their salsas.
My sister and I came in for lunch; we both got the pozole. It was not only delicious, but very filling as well. And reasonably priced.
We will Definately be stopping by again
The food was good, but not above average. I got four tacos: asada, carnitas, chile verde, and al pastor. The al pastor was flavorful, but the others were a bit bland.
This isn't meant to be a bad review. The food was OK, fine. I would go here again if I were in the area, but wouldn't make a special trip.
Great little taqueria! Loved the out door seating. The chili in my relleno was tough! I'll go for the little carne asada tacos next time!
