Nice store, if you're into motorcycles you will want to come in and check it out. Always friendly and very knowledgeable. Go here before you go to Amazon because Jeff Bezos is lame

I bought a 2021 Kawasaki Versy 650 ABS from these guys because I wanted to stay local. The bike was great but the customer service, Owner and their tech is the absolute worst. I wanted heated grips installed and had to purchase myself through Kawasaki because they couldn't get them. Then $650 dollars and 6 weeks in the service bay, they still didn't work. On top of it they they left my running light hanging out of the bike and did all the wiring with electrical tape. The Owner Shaun said there was nothing they could do and there was nothing they could refund and walked back in the shop. For $11k, I hoped for better service. The bike, and my money went to another shop and manufacturer and I couldn't be more happy. Just go down the hill, you will be happy you did-

I had to remove a battery from my Yamaha 660 grizzly and the screws and box nuts fell out and could not be retrieved. I thought I might stop by Mikes and see if they had any replacements in stock. They didn't but the owner said wait a second, and the mechanic brought me out a set and they said no charge. You just don't get that type of service now days. If I had gone anywhere else, most likely they would have said we can order some at a cost. I wouldn't have minded that, after all their running a business. It still impresses me when any small business does something like this. It just shows how much the people at Mikes Cycle realize, that it can be a real hassle to have to wait for stuff like this and
make several trips to get things like this taken care of. Thanks Mikes.

Most unpleasant experience I have had at any mechanic or dealer in decades. I was concerned due to so many negative reviews but I wanted to give them a chance because I live here. Guy I talked to was rude, uninterested, and unfriendly nearly to the point of hostility. I wanted to get some minor simple work done and help with my Ninja 400. He told me it would be 4 to 6 weeks, made it seem like they might not be able to help me at all, barely responded to details of the help I needed, and seemed completely annoyed I was even there in the first place.

I told him that since I now own a Kawasaki I was hoping to have them be my local shop and start paying them for service and buying things from them. He seemed irritated by that too, me trying to become a loyal new customer. Crazy. He told me to try a different shop down the hill and was even negative and sarcastic about that, saying, "Good luck. ", as if he assumes other shops will be just as terrible and unhelpful as him.

I don't know how they stay in business with attitude like that. Extremely disappointing. If someone opens a motorcycle shop in Placerville that is run in a professional, friendly, customer service oriented way they could do great. Read other reviews here of new customers trying to give business to this Kawasaki shop. My terrible experience there is not rare. Being rude to customers and trying to make them go away is about the worst you can possibly be at your job.

Family owned business. I've been getting to know them for a couple of years and Service is great. If you need parts or specialty items you're covered.

Wanting to support local businesses during this time we are in. I brought my Dr650 in for some TLC. When I dropped bike off. I was specific about the fact that my chain and sprocket were original to the 1997 bike. And please check them. Also my forks seem to be leaking. No problem I was told. After letting bike get worked on for 2 weeks. I called to check on it and was told it was going in next. I recieved a call 4 days later from the mechanic working on the bike and he said it was ready to go. But he recommended new tires the are at 50%. I asked what about fork leak? He said forks weren't part of tune up. I asked him to ask owner if she would allow it. He said he would call me back. I called 3 days later only to get the owner on phone telling me the bike is ready as well. I asked about the forks again. I was told they were not part of the service. I asked for them to be checked. Because there looked like a leak. And my chain and sprocket were 23 years old. How could they still be good. She told me the mechanic and his wife were having a baby that she would have to check with him on fork seals. So I patiently waited to hear again. 3 days later. Got a call bikes ready. Went to pick it up. The son of the owner is the one who cashed me out. I asked about forks? He said nothing. I asked.the only recommendation is tires? Have you ever heard a 23 year old chain that's not stretched? And do not see the fluid leaking from the forks? He just shrugged his shoulders and said mechanic recommended tires.look at them.they are worn. I replied.look at the forks I asked you to check? They arent even dealt with after requesting it be addressed 3 times. His response was to curse as he walked away. Very unprofessional. And it was obvious that they didnt do what I requested that I spoke to 3 different people about my concerns of leak on forks.age of chain and sprocket. Then just service. They were already in my carb for the service and still got charged 375$ in labor for it. Plus the service. I suggest Folsom cycle to anyone needing repair work. They are professional and timely. Folsom cycle communicates any issues they see. And are very quick turn over time. No more Mike's Cycle.they have lost community support.

I drove four hours to go take my quad to get repaired at his shop. He committed that I could take it to him and he would work on it. When I got there he changed the price per hour $150 and told me it would take 3 more hours than 2 Other shops said it would take. Also he wasn’t wearing a mask

Terrible customer service and poor inventory. It’s a shame there the only shop In placerville but the drive anywhere else is worth it.

I have been here twice and was not impressed on any level either time. First time i went to inquire about a bike they had for sale and it took them 20 mins to figure out how much they were selling it for. I ended up buying somewhere else (kawasaki) I went back to see if they could do some mods and they told me to take it wherever I bought it to have it worked on. Several friends say they have had similar issues. I also asked if they could quote some parts on this visit and they would not even look them up.

I take exception to the bad reviews about the service dept. I have taken several bikes there over the years (Yam WR 426, Husky TE 511, CRF 50) for various things from carb work, to changing out tires, to suspension work. They have been great. Fast, responsive and good quality work. I have asked them to order things for me, and they gladly did it, and didn't mark the price up excessively. And, they provide the service in a convenient location.namely Placerville. I consistently go back to Mike's.
