Don't let the looks of the place fool you. BEST fish tacos I have ever eaten! Carne asada fries to die for! Also, don't forget to try a club lemonade or sangria. Fast service! Great prices! Generous servings!

If you don't eat here while in OB, why? Go home, newbie. There's a reason the octopus burrito isn't on the menu but it's $13. It's worth it. Don't eat all the sauce either, it's a precious commodity they shouldn't hand out for free to you yokels. Or me. But they do and it's soooo good.

Tacos were good and comparable to other places. Area to eat was a bit small and we thought the tacos were a tad pricy, but overall a good experience.

Delicious taco spot just a few blocks from the beach. Very limited seating and doesn't look all that impressive from the outside, but the tacos are delicious! Definitely worth a visit for a casual quick meal.

$14 for a steak and shrimp burrito with barely any shrimp. Def not worth it. I stopped coming here about a year ago once I noticed quality dramatically drop. I decided to give it try again today, hoping it had improved. Nope: (

Really great tacos that were a good size for what we thought would be smaller street tacos. Had the battered fish and a shrimp which were both great. Was visiting from AZ so we only made one stop but if we visit again a stop at Mike's will be in order.

Super tasty outside of southern Cali. I’d be super happy back in Baltimore where I grew up. Here in San Diego, it’s completely forgettable. My guess is most of these reviews are tourists who don’t know better. I think I could show you 4 tacos within ten blocks that put this one to shame. (I got the steak and shrimp that the woman at the register said was her favorite).

Killer California burrito, delicious tacos, and crispy chips. Paired with agua frescas and beers and eaten at the beach steps away.

Carne asada fries! Food of the gods. Crispy fries, carne asada, guac, cheese, salsa, sour cream. One order enough for two. Get them.you won't be sorry.

GUAC was amazing and tacos, the sauces provided were very good! Would def eat again, wish they had more vegetarian options, but the beans tacos was delicious. My partner had meat tacos and said they were very good. Would definitely go back.

Been coming here over the past 5 years whenever visiting SD. Always a great experience at Mikes. Fresh ingredients and generous portions. Love the steak and shrimp tacos. We dream of this place when back in WI when it's 10 degrees and snowing.

Holy s$#@ they have good tacos. I got the Trifecta (white fish, scallops, and shrimp, with some sort of slaw and a spicy avocado crema on a corn tortilla) and it was phenomenal. Thanks, random stranger with a dog who I asked where a good local taco is! You weren't wrong!

The burritos are huge! The steak & shrimp was so fresh in the wrap, amazing food. Although the margarita could've been a little less sour, it was pretty strong for a small drink. Tiny but mighty, will definitely be back to try the tacos!

Wow! Some of the most amazing tacos and homemade sangria I've ever had in my life! The seating space outside is small, but dog friendly and worth the wait to just relax and people watch. It's a short walk to the beach to just take your golden tacos to go to watch the sunset! You have to eat here! Very reasonably priced and sooooo worth it!

Great little taco restaurant. Bean Burrito with veggies. Great food and right next to the ocean beach pier and beach access. Will definitely go back when we return to San Diego.

Get the carne asada burrito. Very tasty and authentic. A very well balanced size easy to eat while walking the pier or the beach just near by.

Food was amazing. Steak and shrimp taco- The asada was juicy and flavorful. The shrimp was fresh and the cheese melted on the tortilla under all the goodness kept it all together. The Trifecta taco as perfect. Not fishy but you can taste the seafood. The Ceviche was fresh and not swimming in lime juice like I’ve gotten at other places. Some of the best tacos and ceviche SD has to offer. They definitely earned the 2019 readers choice awards they received. Must visit every time I’m in town.

I am mexican american and my wife is an excellent mexican food cook. This place knocked it out of the ballpark with the Cali burrito and the steak taco. Fish tacos are good too, but they are a bit better across the border. Nonetheless. This place is way better than anything you can get in Northern California.

My kids and my sister saw roaches and the lady sweeping had the nerve to say "it's just my little friend" ‍️, she was sweeping outside from where they were cooking, but what goes on in there I don't know ‍️, but got this story after we arrived home. As for food, it's not what I expected. Taco, too fancy for me, I like it simple great Carne asada onions and cilantro with salsa and squeeze of lime but nope they have all this crazy stuff. Takes away from what tacos are suppose to be like. This review is just my preference and my taste. Are you able to order regular taco I don't know when my wife ordered it she just said 4 regular tacos and I got the shenanigans I received. But I'm not stopping you from going there try it out for yourself. This was just my preference. The star is given for food not the experience. To my taste that is

BEEETCH YYAAASSS! THEM TACOS WERE BUSSIN. THE SURF AND TURF. SEASONED TO PERFECTION. Im blk so we picky about seasoning. Came back in the same day for a 2nd helpin lol. PERFECT BEACH DAY FOOD! RUN DONT WALK!
