Park Millard Falls reviews
15This place is awesome, my gf hates hiking but really liked this easy 1.5 mile trek to the waterfall, we even took my son the next time we went. We also took the harder route to the TOP of the waterfall, don't recommend kids on that one though, just the easy one is okay for all
Very nice hiking route. Recommended for adventurous people who's willing to do some tricky river crossing or getting wet. There is a decent size waterfall at the end.
Lovely you do a short hike, but there are rocks, water trails, and climbing, be prepared, don't bring anything heavy, the waterfall is not too big you can still be close to the waterfall.
Great place to camp. A real workout getting my bike with all my stuff over the hill. Damn good workout.
Love this hike cause it’s only. 5 (from the big parking lot).
The parking pass required (though I’m not sure how often they check because a lot of people park without passes) can be purchased from the Chevron near Arcadia REI (I went to REI and they said they haven’t gotten Adventure Passes in 7 months so he told me Chevron has them or a ranger station). I have no idea where the ranger station is so I went to the Chevron and it’s only $5!
There is parking available on the cliffside but you have to walk all the way down a long hill. I recommend just parking in the big lot.
The hike is pretty much shaded most of the way. It is a lot of crossing rocks and water. In the beginning, there is one “rock wall” to climb up.
There is a bathroom at the camp site. I would hold it if I could because that bathroom did not look clean.
When it rains a lot, the waterfall gets bigger. I have found salamanders and toads here with my husband before. Today, I found a praying mantis and huge daddy long leg spider nests! Absolutely terrifying, watch out for them on the rocks! They blend in well.
This was a wonderful hike. It was short but the falls were beautiful. It was crowded when I went but it was a nice and hot day. I recommend water shoes or something that can get wet. Could use more parking but what couldn't in LA.
This place been closed for over 3 years now.since pandemic. Don't waste your time and gas drive there.

The over all hike is great! A few water crossings. I suggest you just get your feet wet because trying to walk across wet rocks is dangerous. I saw many people slip trying to stay dry. The walk is covered with lots of shade.
The only negative is all the illegal parking on the side of the road on the way there. With cars parked on the side, the road becomes just wide enough for one car to pass making it very dangerous. Very annoying. If there is no safe parking then move on to another hike.
I really like to go hiking in this place, it's nice to share a long walk with friends.
This canyon has so much to offer from such a short hike. It’s a 24 minute drive from my house, not 2 hours away, this trail is short enough that it won’t take you 2 hours hike to get to the waterfall. This trail has a lot of shade, on a hot sunny California day, this is excellent. But, there is never a perfect trail. Parking requires a national forest pass, there are lots of rocks and boulders, which makes it impossible if you are on a wheel chair or if you have elders or individual with physical disabilities.
Unbelievable place. Perfect to hike and refresh, specially now with all those rains, the water fall is fabulous. The little river channel is amazing naturally made. Must go to see. Just remember to get a parking permit for the national parks premises to avoid any ticket. You can buy a simple day permit at some close gas stations ($5) or buy the anual one (more expensive for sure) on the national park passes web site. Enjoy
A very beautiful place worth visiting. It is suitable for camping and hiking. We had a great time, in addition to the picturesque nature. The sound of running water makes you feel relaxed.
Visited today and it was wonderful. Perfect cool weather in the canyon, lots of water. Wear shoes that can get wet and that will grip rocks and logs. You must traverse the rive many times to get to the falls and it can be precarious. Watch every step. Moderate hike due to some unstable footing points. If you've got good balance you've got this. It's worth it!
Excellent, excellent waterfall! Be sure to arrive early for parking. Short hike to the falls with several stream crossings. You will see a couple of nice cascades along the way. Expect to get wet! Best waterfall I've seen in So Cal so far.
Bring water shoes your feet will get wet. It wasn’t a hard hike you’re just constantly having to go through water to cross.
