If you want to take a quiet break from the hectic Bay Area scene, hop in your car and drive to Mindego Ridge Vineyard deep in the Santa Cruz Mountains The drive alone is calming, scenic and worthwhile. At the winery you will enjoy marvelous estate-grown Chardonnay and Pinot Noir while seated on a beautiful deck overlooking the vineyard - definitely not your typical tasting room experience! Dave and Stacey are gracious and attentive hosts who are passionate about their wines and love to share them with you. The entire experience is well worth it!

Mindego Ridge Vineyard is a beautiful pinot noir and chardonnay estate tucked away in the Santa Cruz mountains. The outdoor tasting pavillion is beautifully crafted with much of the work done by owner Dave Gollnick. The wines that they craft are absolutely superb and are of a style that is reminiscent of Burgundy but still New World enough to be very drinkable at release. Come for the beautiful setting, stay for the great wines! Dave and Stacy are wonderful hosts so a good time will be had by all.

Amazing experience at Mindego with Dave and Stacey. The couple are very knowledgable winemakers who knows their business. We love their chardonnay and 2016 pinot noir. Dave even showed us around the vineyard and my 3 year old very much enjoyed it. Definitely a must go if you are looking for a wine tasting with family and friends.

Dave and Stacey were such wonderful hosts to us at Mindego Ridge taking us through their line of wines while we sat in their tasting area enjoying the breeze and view. Dave later on took us on a tour of the vineyards and told us about the grapes being grown. We even got to walk around the vineyard and sample of some of the grapes on the wine.

It was a very different tasting experience than compared to other tastings in Napa. What made this one stand out was that we really got to understand the grapes and how they become the wine. It made for a very interesting experience and made us appreciate their beautiful wines even more.

If you go try their Block 943 wine. It is a fantastic pinot noir!

Mindego Ridge Vineyard is an absolute gem. Located really conveniently from the Peninsula, we felt transported miles and miles away to a wine country we didn't know existed so close to home!

The wines (highlights being a 2017 Pinot, Chardonnay, and Rosé) all are made with grapes grown right at the property you visit, and were phenomenal. We visited on probably the hottest day of the year, and the light and juicy pinot still felt refreshing, while the crisp Rosé and bright Chard were definite standouts. We brought a few bottles to enjoy at home and could not be more excited to drink them with meals!

David and Stacey, the owners who started this passion project, are a wealth of information and just the most hospitable and friendly faces. We loved the personal attention, detailed descriptions of their varietals, and the tour around the property to see the different vineyard blocks was really special. They are just great people all around and we feel lucky to have met them and learn a thing or two about wine and the wine making business (I can dream!).

We cannot wait to visit here again very soon! Mindego Ridge Vineyard would be a great place to meet friends for a socially distanced afternoon in their open air tasting pavilion as well, we cannot recommend it enough!

That Pinot and the Chardonnay was arguably the best in the area. Highly recommend.
