Ming Hui Dim Sum reviews
9 Great dim sum in Chinatown! I loved the siu mai.
As someone who isn't fluent in reading Chinese, I wish there were pictures on the menu for me to get a better idea of what I was ordering, since the English translations weren't always what I expected when I ordered.
One of the best small shop dim sum places in SF. Been coming here for years! Tip - if you plan on coming here, make sure to get here early because they do run out of the good stuff pretty fast. Sometimes, I get here past 1pm and I could only get a few items due to the others being sold out. As previously mentioned, this is a small shop and only accepts cash but BofA is right next door for those do not like to carry cash on them. I am coming again this Saturday morning, see you there! P. S. Sorry for the extremely late review
One of the best dim sums I’ve been to! I loved the siu mai the most as it literally melted in my mouth. The chicken feet was easy to eat because it was supper soft so it was easy to remove the bones from the feet. The chive dumpling was also fantastic! First time having it and reminded me of soft vegetable dumplings. I highly recommend this place!
Been here numerous times. It's a great spot for quick and cheap dim sum, pretty good quality, too! It's cash only though. No seating, so bring it home. Would recommend, it's my go-to spot for some quick dim sum.
Covid review:
I was in the area and was craving dim sum. Mom and pop joint, cash only, I'm now so full, I look like a human sized burrito.
We got the dim sum staples: shu mai (these were the best! So big!), Shrimp har gow and shrimp cheurn fun (wrappers were too thick though). Then topped it off with steamed custard buns (very doughy but super moist with good custard flavor) and dan tats (they're no GGB but still good). All in all, $13.50 for the lot.
As for the space, tables block off full entry to the restaurant, so there's enough space to stay 6ft away even if others are already inside.
Overall, check them out if you're looking for a quick bite.
Steam rice r good n tasty, price r good 2,
Dim sum serves in the morning,
Steam Chung Fun r order made, fresh n excellent.
Great place for fast no frills authentic dim sum. Affordable and delicious. I am regular here because I live near by and easy for me to pop in and grab a lunch box to go within minutes
The chicken steam buns are just what I need when I want something cheap, warm, and filling on The Ave.
This place has good dim sum. Very cheap and super quick! Hits the spot and will definitely be coming back
