Ming Yuan Restaurant reviews
14Very bad service! We nerve meet this kind of service in our life. We can not go this restaurant anymore!
This restaurant replaced king wah restaurant, the decor is nicer and brighter, the food is almost the same taste. They don’t serve food with carts anymore. Pay attention to how many person they charge for tea.
1/27/2024: this place is not as crowded as before, there is no wait line to get in. It's hard to find a parking.
Staff kindly accompanied a late birthday celebration. Food was hot delicious & flavorful not salty. Want to go back for lunch dim-sum
The steam dumplings were large and delicious as usual. But the rice noodle Hong Kong style did not come with BBQ Pork which was disappointing. The crepes were very good and the shrimps were really large. And the Chinese broccoli was fresh and crunchy (excellent).
Authentic delicious dimsum! Clean and seems somewhat recently renovated. Super fast service. All the food came out warm/hot, made to order.
It’s quite popular on the weekend so expect a little wait to get seated, maybe 20 minute wait depending when you arrive.
Atmosphere wise, had the hustle and bustle of a vibrant dim sum restaurant in a fairly new restaurant. They had some different areas with rooms that could be cordoned off.
The char siu (BBQ pork) is super tender and marbled. Crispy baked BBQ pork buns compare to those of the Michelin starred Tim Ho Wan - highly recommend.
Turnip cakes were good. Pairs well with chili sauce - Ask for some on the side…it’s spicy!
I also ordered the preserved egg and pork congee. It didn’t have MSG. It tasted like a plain congee with the toppings added. I would personally prefer a little bit of bouillon or salt mixed in.
Spent $25-30/pp with extras to take home.
Food is good and taste good Service is good. Price is inexpensive
This is the second time we come.
Magnolian Beef as the best I’ve had tried, tender multicolored vegetables, perfect touch of salt and spicy for a balanced flavor.
Whole plate for myself with no problem.
This is one of those places where you go specifically for the food, and not much else. The service is good, but when it gets busy sometimes your orders can take far too long. The atmosphere is definitely family oriented, with. I believe a minimum of 10 people per table. And it's loud but not really in a bad way. Great. Family outing, not a date night place. But, everything that I had, and I had a lot, was very very good. Good. Parking is not great, by the way. But you are allowed to park in the nearby shopping center, main parking lot and walk a few blocks.
The taste and product are worse than before. If it is busy, he will not pay attention to the order and will only seat the more people first, while the younger people will have to wait. He uses a thermos to make tea, so the water is not hot enough. The taste and product are worse than before. If he is busy, he will not care about the order of priority, he will only arrange the more people to be seated first, while the smaller people will have to wait. The tea is brewed with a thermos pot, so the water is not hot enough.
Even if you book a table, you will be praised. The most important reason is that you don’t have to wait if you are familiar with it.
Food was okay. Solid. But nothing more.
Service was okay and slow even though not even 1/5 of tables had dinners.but it's because they seem to have more take-out orders than dine-in. Because of that, they seem to prioritize take-out guest over dine-in guest.
First taste test! ! ! !
After waiting for about 50 minutes, I thought that such a good business would have a good taste.
The taro horn arrived first, everyone enjoyed it
The fried dough sticks are very thoughtful. There is shrimp meat in the fried dough sticks, but the soy sauce is poured directly onto the fried dough sticks without having to be separated into plates! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Failed service
The cold melon fried noodles are extremely salty
In summary.not worth it
%% It doesn’t mean that there are many people waiting for a table.
My MIL loves this place for dim sum and dinner. We've been here for dinner a few times.
My friend and I met to have dim sum for a late birthday celebration. We were not disappointed. We both ordered everything we liked and had a full table for 2 people. Don't judge. We were able to enjoy it and each take home a snack for later.
Everything was fresh and tasty. We just wished they brought the "desserts" out later: egg tarts, custard buns, and sesame balls. The egg tarts didn't look appetizing, but they were really good. Nice flaky crust.
Highly recommended and would return again for dim sum.
