Mingalaba Restaurant reviews
29Great tasting dishes and lots to choose from including lots of vegetarian dishes. Lamb curry, Samusas, basil spicy beef, and rainbow salad were our favorites. Very good service. Ate in the nice outdoor dining area (the blinds were a plus to keep the sun and passerbys away). Definitely coming back to try their other dishes.
Delicious food, very different and exquisite. I tried the House special noodle, Burmese style noodles and the samusas ️️️️
Tea salad is remarkable. They offer dishes you can't get elsewhere. Not cheap, but worth the dining experience.
Hot vegetarian soup was fantastic. Mongolian beef was tasty, tender and nice. I only wish it would've been better if prices were reasonable. The staff was quite fast enough.
Go-to for delivery in North Hollywood. Awesome Sag Paneer and Naan. Chicken dishes are solid. Love the flavored rice with nuts and raisons.
Maybe the hype of this restaurant ruined it for me. I love Burmese food, but after trying it multiple times, I was highly disappointed. I found the food to be quite bland with very little character. I hope they up their game in the future.
This is owned by the sister of the owner of San Francisco's Mandalay Restaurant, & offers a similar menu of Burmese food. Very vegetarian & vegan friendly. Our favorites are the vegetarian samusa soup, palatha crispy pancake with crry, tea leaf salad, walnut broccoli tofu, basil spicy eggplant, their house specialty noodle & of course, Burmese iced tea. Great service. Parking is paid on the street. Prices are reasonable. They have a lunch menu as well. They have outdoor heated dining during the COVID era
Through a volunteer service, I was picking up an order for a local couple. Although I did not taste the food, the experience was enough to make me return and try it myself.
The couple had mistakenly placed an order with a different restaurant when they thought they were ordering from Mingalaba.
Despite the error not being theirs, the staff were able to turn around my order VERY quickly and was very professional and friendly throughout the experience. This was a great experience for me and the couple I was assisting, since they would have gone without their dinner for the evening.
It was truly appreciated.
Because of this, I will definitely be giving their cuisine a try soon.
I gave it 4 stars only because I have not tasted the food personally.:)
Food is ok. Very bad customer service while I was trying to do a phone order. The person answering was impatient and sounded rude.
Unexpected neighborhood gem. Just don't expect to linger at your table during peak dinner hours!
The good here has always been amazing! 4 States because. They are sooo busy that the customer service suffers a bit.
Delicious! My friend and I shared the rainbow salad (vegetarian) and the House noodles with coconut chicken and lime leaves. Both dishes were superb. The chicken was tender. Fast service.
One of the best places in Burlingame for dinner.
Must try: Tea leaf salad
Recommendations: Black Pepper Soup, Chicken Fried Rice and Basil Chicken.
The staff takes care of your dietary limitations.
Really authentic Burmese food. House Special Noodles are my absolute favorite. Tea leaf salad is so unique and tasty. Any of the Bumese curry dishes are very good. Always busy so be prepared to wait.
Excellent food and service. This is my favorite place for dinner in Burlingame. Great vegetarian dishes.
Everything we ordered was so good (mostly vegetarian). Highly recommend the Shan Spicy Noodles - perfect for Indian tastebuds.
The food is amazing, and the service is prompt. The only hindrance is the small size of the outlet
Bad, bland food. Things are always sweet when they are not supposed to be. Very Americanized. Kebat has almost no mint flavor.
Pretty solid Burmese food. I agree with others that the portions are slightly on the smaller side. The tea leaf salad was good but maybe too many peanuts compared to the cabbage. The house noodles were delicious. We also got the string beans which had great flavor but kinda oily.
