I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews so I thought i’d mention my awesome visit. I made an appointment ahead of time and Nicole got me in right on the dot. I explained my symptoms to her and we discussed what my options were. She prescribed me and I was out with my meds in about 20 min. A lot of reviews mention that the nurses don’t always know what to prescribe …obviously a lot of cold or flu like symptoms can be an array of different things I suggest doing a little online research ahead of time so you can ask questions about certain illnesses/symptoms and help narrow it down. After all it is just the minute clinic and there is only so much they can do as they are limited to materials and supplies. If you are dealing with something serious and painful you should always go to urgent care. This location is very busy and the nurses/ pharmacists work hard, they have a lot of patients walking in and requesting care right then and there without appointments so it is no wonder they may seem all over the place at times. Nicole was lovely, presentable, and genuinely cared about me getting better. She also said she would give me a call in a few days to make sure the prescription was working.

After waiting almost an hour I was finally seen by this asian nurse practitioner nicole. This was the most unsettling experience that I have personally had at a clinic so far. She was all over the place and did not seem to know how to do her job at all. She did not bother to sanitize the equipment and work area. She was not able to confidently and correctly diagnose or treat a very common condition. When I asked her about things she would just go in circles with vague generalized answers. I especially did not appreciate her hygiene in person either. She had a strong musty odor and her hair literally had large chunks of dandruff in it that were falling off. For these main reasons I did not feel good about the care provided so like many others I ultimately ended up seeing a better trusted provider instead. The pharmacy was quick and efficient though and I got a prescription without delay.

The nurse there named Nicole was so incompetent and disorganized. She really smelled bad too like bo and garlic. I will not go back there ever again especially due to poor service and long wait times

I wish I would have read all of the horrible reviews for cvs minute clinic in Sherman oaks. I went on Thursdays 5/4 and had a beyond horrible experience. Alexis and Katherine were in the check up room, laughing hysterically, being loud, laughing, laughing and being inappropriate for a professional clinic where people go that are having issues. Alexis finally came out of the room and said “oh I’m still laughing so hard”, never identified herself and started asking personal medical questions in the lobby where other customers were shopping nearby and a vendor was working on the sunglass display. I could not believe that she thought that I or anyone would just start telling a random stranger anything. I asked if she was the doctor or nurse and who she was. She said she was told to come out and ask questions. I again asked who she was and why she would be asking my medical questions in the open lobby. She walked away and went back to the room and said something to Katherine. Katherine pushed her chair back and said “did you have questions”. I said I did and wanted to know who the lady was and why she was asking me health related questions in the lobby in front of people and without identifying herself. Katherine said to go ahead and come into the room and I said I only would if Alexis was not in the room. Alexis continued to inform me that she would be in the room as she’s the one that takes my vitals. She was super rude and aggressive and I said I did not feel comfortable with her. They again told me to come into the room to which I said no and that I was just going to cancel my appointment. I had already checked in and had taken time to get off work early to make it to my appt. Alexis quickly
Said “that’s fine we will just cancel you in the system. ” I then asked their names because as of this point I did not know either of their names. I said I wanted to file a complaint as I was shocked about how they asked personal medical questions in a public forum without also disclosing who they were. Alexis said that I could just use the visit confirmation code. I let Alexis know that I wanted their names. They wrote their names down and I walked away. This didn’t sit well with me and I asked a cvs employee for the number to complain. This happened on Thursday and as of Saturday I have not heard back from anyone. I called back and then was told it takes 7-10 business days to have a supervisor call you back. How many complaints is this clinic getting if it takes the supervisor 2 weeks to get back to a customer that had a horrific experience in their clinic. Read all of the other reviews of this clinic and see the common theme of not being professional.

I arrived at the minute clinic at about 5: 07. Two workers sitting there and no clients. I was sick and miserable, but they said they couldn’t see me because they close at 5: 30 and do not take patients after 5 pm. No apologies, no compassion whatsoever. They are definitely there for a paycheck only.

I had one of the worst experiences with a medical professional at this clinic. The bed side manner was horrible. I had pneumonia (though I didn’t know it upon going) and this doctor had me convinced there was something wrong with my heart and that I needed to go to an urgent care. However, if there was something seriously wrong with my heart, why not recommend going to the ER? He was just incredibly cold and non sympathetic. He also gave me two panic attacks. One while I was the the clinic and the second over the phone after I told him that I had booked an appointment with an urgent care for the following day and he got weirdly silently and said I needed to go to an urgent care. I’m irritated that even have to pay for the horrible service I received especially since I don’t have insurance.
