Came to this place because of the ratings but I would never come back here. They are very thorough, too thorough as they want to do every possible test costing me a fortune. They got my dog on Apoquel, special food all these other things, which they charge a lot for, compared to other places and won't give me the prescription to buy it from PetCo because it's not a trusted source. My dog only has an itch. When I went back to get more, even though it's only been three months, they want to do additional checkups and run more tests before they would give it to me. If you have a lot of money then come here otherwise I would look somewhere else.

I (and my cat and my dog) have had excellent experiences at Miramonte Veterinary. The staff is knowledgeable, concerned, responsive and helpful.

Dr Taylor & his staff have been taking care of my golden retriever for years now and I highly recommend them. They've always been very respectful & professional for all of our visits including routine check-ups, shots and the occasional emergency. When my dog needed TPLO surgery on both legs, Dr Taylor was excellent with the early diagnosis & plan, pre-surgery care, coordinating with the surgeon, and post-surgery care. They made the whole saga much less stressful than it might have been. Highly recommend them for your pets.

HOW DARE MIRAMONTE! SHAMEFUL. Insensitive, disconcerting, disappointing, terribly unsympathetic and poor service and support. My young 5year old cat unexpectedly collapsed. Two days earlier the neighbor's cat who was also treated by Dr Taylor past away. The two cats had played together regularly. Veterinarian Dr Taylor would not take my call to help me understand what happened. The receptionist said maybe my cat was 'hit by a car"; my beloved furry family member was an indoor cat. I never received a condolence card or at minimum a single word of sympathy from the office. NOTHING. I did receive a condolence card from the local shelter where I had originally adopted my rescue. Miramonte told me "Well he's gone, there's nothing to do. " To top it off I just recently got a "our records show your cat is overdue for an appointment" postcard in the mail from Miramonte. TERRIBLE!

After calling 11 different veterinarians all morning (plus 7 late night vets late last night), I finally found one that could see our sweet 2 year old Syrian hamster! They were able to see her immediately and quickly confirm that she was at her end of life

They also warned me that the prognosis didn't sound good in advance before taking the $92 visit, which I appreciated. It was something we were prepared for given her age and decline in activity over the last couple of weeks, but we wanted to know for sure.

It provided our family great solace knowing there wasn't much we could do and that she likely wasn't suffering. Dr. Taylor told us that she was not likely to respond well to any testing or treatment, and that the stress of that process could kill her.

Given her unresponsive state and very low energy, Dr. Taylor and the kind lady working there (I think his assistant? Sorry I forgot your name!) both said that she was likely already in the process of passing

They gave us the choice to euthanize, but did not pressure the decision.

Thank you for providing us with peace and clarity during this stressful moment

If your pet is being treated here for cancer please get a second opinion asap! I feel this Vet and his front desk assistant Wendy (extremely rude) use cancer as a scare tactic to extort additional money from caring pet owners. I have two separate appointment regarding different minor issues with my dog. Dr Taylor both times gave extensive explanations regarding his cancer suspicions and the need for additional costly testing and treatment. Example, my 13 yr old dog was limping with his front paw; x-rays were taken and I was told by the Dr. Taylor that he strongly suspected cancer. I could biopsy, start chemo if positive, but that does not always work, so amputation would likely be the best option. I said no to his far fetched diagnosis. He then said, if it’s an infection I’ll give you antibiotics and let’s see what happens. The next day with rest, my dog was good as new and has never had problems with his paw since. From this point on, whenever I called the office to have prescription medication and dog food refilled, I was told more then once by the receptionist Wendy “we can no longer supply these to you unless you follow the care plan for follow up testing that added up to $2,500”. I did want follow up lab work and I was told no by Wendy. You have to follow the care plan Dr. Taylor has for your dog. It is all or nothing. This is unheard of in the medical profession, let alone in veterinarian medicine. In my opinion there are many Ethical red flags regarding the practices of Dr. Taylor, DVM and his reception Wendy.

DO NOT bring your pets there. This vet does horrible things on your pets without your approval because they simply want to charge you money. My bird had some minor eye irritation, we brought it there and a few hours later it died.

No matter what we said, their explanation was that the bird was already seriously sick. This was definitely not the case, the eye irritation was quite minor and the bird was eating and chirping fine.

Our family now is heart broken and no one can give our bird back. If you love your pets, do not bring them there.
