Service was great. Went on Christmas day and everyone was great. Coconut shrimp was fantastic!

Really great food! Wasn’t to busy when I went but, they do have reservation options if going on a busy day.

Food was really good and the cost was $$. I do recommend as the flavors where unique. The tacos and kombucha are worth having!

Nice chill vibes, patio tables are good for watching the world go by. Close to the beach too which is nice.

The food is ok. Cubano Benedict was nice in concept, but zero flavor, and too much bread. The jerk seasoning, which is what they put on their wings and fries, is very sugary. Too much sugar. By the end of your meal you get the diabeetus.

Tiki bar vibe with excellent food and the most fun cocktails in all of Mission Beach. Hands-down the best and most beautiful wait staff that are super attentive and offer the best recommendations and pairings. Great place for meeting with friends, family, and dates. Don't miss out and make sure to reserve or arrive early. It fills out often and wait times vary.

Great food, attentive service, and reasonably priced. We had no issue getting a table for 6 on a Wednesday afternoon. Coconut shrimp and chicken wings were awesome.

Good food but it was extremely loud. Great vegetarian options and plenty of good fish/meat options as well. Everyone enjoyed their coconut margs!

Saw a Black Santa and mistakenly stepped inside looking for a more welcoming atmosphere … the bartender went out of his way to be rude … because apparently it’s a rum bar and asking for tequila options brings attitude. I still ordered a shot of my favorite rum and didn’t allow that fellow to diminish what has been an awesome trip to the west coast … although Miss B is a fictional caricature … an attitude adjustment would go a long way…. In bringing people in

Good food but not amazing. The coconut club brought back memories of painkillers in the Virgin Islands as it said it would on the menu. I'd go back for one of those!

I had high hopes with this place specially after reading the rave reviews. But now I know why they have high ratings, because of their promotion, of winning a lucky draw of $500 rewards if they leave reviews of “their favorite dishes”. That explains the rave reviews.

Plus, the reviews are I guess from people who after getting drunk don’t know the difference between flavorful food & flavorless one.

So this place was, flavorless.

It’s a Caribbean jerk place but it was just a typical bland and boring one. The entire menu lacked taste.

Caribbean taco plate was messy and uninteresting

Jerk chicken Plate, although the chicken was marinated well but it didn’t have any taste except being moist. Huge portion though.

Jerk rub chicken wings were also dull & boring. The accompanying “hot sauces” were but just blah.

Fish chips, get this was SOGGY. I mean really?

Rum Cannonball cocktail tasted like cough syrup and was too sweet.

Blackbeards delight was so so.

No dedicated restaurant parking, that means you have keep searching for street parking till the time you get lucky or pay at some shady small paid parking places nearby.

4% surcharge on the bill, for what?
Plus tip

= $150+ wasted

Great bar food and excellent drinks. The rum drinks are especially good. Laid back vibes in a prime spot in Mission beach.

Enjoyed the coconut shrimp, jerk chicken wrap and Cubano sandwich. Decent drinks. Decent people watching. Nice atmosphere Little pricey but overall a good meal.

We stopped here for an early brunch around 1 0am on a Sunday and it was already quite busy, it's a popular spot.

Service was enthusiastic and very accommodating to kids (crayons and drawing paper -check), and made this place stand out a bit.

The food was fine but overall quite pedestrian. Their coconut shrimp with chile sauce tasted like it was lifted from a PF Chang's, it was OK but just lacking in any distinguishing characteristics. My breakfast sandwich had fresh ingredients but didn't leave me craving more. Same for my wife's breakfast burrito with jerk chicken, just meh.

My coconut club cocktail was fairly good but just long on the sweetnesS and also San Diego-strong on the alcohol (a bit too boozy).

Overall, don't regret the visit at all but probably will pass on a return one.

Flavors of food were very interesting. Nothing like I have ever had. The fries were good. As was the pulled pork sandwich. Drinks were fancy for the beach. If you are on a first date don’t get the pulled pork sandwich. It is very messy:)

One of the better food options in the area. The food is good and the drinks are interesting.
