Mission Curry House reviews
16Delicious Veg Korma and Chicken Korma. But NO rice came with the delivery. Door Dash didn't speak English when I asked him where was the rice. Since when does Indian take-out not include rice?
The Coconut Curry here is out of this world.
The drinks are A+ with unbelievably great prices. The vibe inside; the colors, the music, the art, are all so inviting and warm.
The menu has options for everyone (stellar vegan options) and our server couldn’t have been better. Best Indian Food in the Bay
Great food (really, it was amazing), very nice service, and the vibe seems authentic… do take the last part with a grain of salt, I’m from Mexico and have never visited Asia. Still, 10/10.
Finally got a chance to try the Mission Curry House and it was definitely the best I've had in San Francisco, or.anywhere!
Sharan, my waitress was wonderful as well, and the atmosphere was also great, with beautiful sculptures, paintings and music.
I give this restaurant 5 stars for Everything!
Food is tasty but not very spicy. I ordered online for pickup and the food was not ready at the time online (I had to wait around 20 mins to pick up food). I'd recommend dining in or adding an 20-30 mins to the wait time for takeout.
If you want to try a little bit of everything when it comes to Indian food, I highly recommend checking out the curry house in the mission. You get so much food, literally one dish could easily feed two people. I love their tikka Marsala and coconut curry. It’s extremely flavorful and filling. Top spot in the city if you’re looking for Indian.
If you are Indian, don’t order from here. I ordered samosa chaat, veg Manchurian and paneer tikka. To say it tasted bad would be an understatement.
I came here with a friend on a Friday night and were seated immediately!
Good:
- The food was DELICIOUS - I was so happy with the food that came
- We got some free papadum which was really tasty and flakey
- Super friendly staff - we used the yelp 20% discount and they were accommodating
- I loved the butter chicken and the paneer naan - there was so much flavor and it didn't feel as oily as other places
- Nice seating near the window and it was a nice catchup ambiance - feels upscale for not upscale prices
- Dosa was really great - loved the tomato dip and the potato
Bad:
- Food took 15 min or so to arrive, so I was hungry and excited when it finally came
Overall this place was a solid experience, and I'm happy I came! I would come again.
Good food, lovely atmosphere and reasonable prices! Only gripe was the service was a little slow but they are workers and not servants so no big deal.
I have never had more perfectly cooked chicken in Indian dishes than here. Service was impeccable as well.
Sad customer service for my liking. The food was delicious, though, and naan was super. Mango lassi awesome!
Had a wonderful dining experience here. Menu was stacked, and my group ordered:
-Chana Palak (amazing, healthy)
-Chicken Tikka Masala (rich, white meat)
-Rogan Josh (spicy, tender lamb)
-Garlic Naan
-Flying Horse (22 oz Indian beer)
The chutneys were all fresh, with complimentary papad served to start us off. I particularly liked the orange chutney, which added heat and umami.
The meal was delicious, with decent portions and enjoyable variety. I would definitely be back!
This place has great Indian food if you are not Indian. If you are, go literally anywhere else.
I rarely tried Indian restaurant and it's so good.
I had 2 salt lassi it's my first time trying yogurt with salt in it & it's so good.
& we used to think bay area don't know how to cook lamb & Mission Curry House prove me wrong again, the lamb is so tender & juicy, & all the main dish we ordered is less than $16.00.
Can't believe that, it's cheaper than eating in a food court in downtown SF for a similar meal.
We are not a big fan for lentil soup but everything else we ordered is awesome. Chicken Masala. Coconut curry lamb. Lamb fried rice. Garlic Naan. Yum!
Highly Recommended!
Got delivery for dinner from here via DoorDash last week and ended up getting terrible food poisoning for 6-7 hours and it took a day and a half to fully recover: (
Pleasantly surprised with this place. Definitely our new favorite Indian restaurant in SF. Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, Lamb Rogan Josh, and a few others. Good flavors, decent portion sizes, and prices that aren’t silly expensive (by SF restaurant standards).
