Park Mission Plaza reviews
5Interesting historically. Enjoyed the Mission State Park, and the mission plaza is a nice park with the oldest wooden home in Santa Cruz facing it. Historical district.
I go here to become spiritually balanced. I am renewed now. The fountain is my favorite feature. I love the story about it.
Tranquil little grass-covered park bordered by Mission Santa Cruz and Holy Cross Catholic Church. While the old mission is rather understated, Holy Cross is the opposite; it's huge monolith dominates the skyline.
My favorite vampiric like church. Actually, it's the only one i know of personally. Has a warm inviting feel with all the prayer candles glowing yet a nice creepy dark vibe with the statues and centuries old woodwork.
The Mission Plaza was the site of the original mission, now commemorated in a 1/3 scale modern replica, has numerous historic structures nearby and is still the site of the oldest wooden house in town, located on the west side of the Plaza, second house North of Mission Street. The entire neighborhood has been designated as a Historic District on the U. S. National Register; when it was so designated in 1975, it was the largest such District in the U. S.
