What a mess. Newly punched and sanded greens, groups of 5 teeing off, closed back 9, slow pace of play: find somewhere else to play, never coming back.

I really want to like this course but the conditions just don't justify more than 2 stars. The turf quality is horrible, the tee boxes are in terrible shape, there are irrigation issues which lead to horrendous lies in the fairways, good drives hit down the center end up running left or right into penalty. There are zero "aprons" near the greens which results in chipping out of fairway rough should you miss the greens. The bunkers aren't raked. For American golf to be awarded another contract and this is the condition of the course, it's inexcusable. Worn out cups and flagstcks. American golf and this greenskeeper are doing the bare minimum. They can do better and they should.

I'm pretty laid back and reasonable but this course is in such terrible shape its not worth playing even for free. The greens are spongy and bumpy. The fairways are rippled, even if you hit a drive down the middle, you could end up sitting on dirt. You should not be penalized for hitting a drive in the fairway. Overall, I was terribly disappointed and will not play this course ever again, which is a shame because the layout is decent when and there are some fun holes.

Just moved to the area and wanted to use the driving range. Tried to find information online of what to expect when showing up, and there is a brief explanation of how many spots and what type of mats they use, but that's it. I showed up via the Navajo Rd parking lot and went to get a bucket of balls from the machine, but realized that the machine only takes cash, which I didn't have with me. I went back home (3 minute drive, no biggie) grabbed some cash then headed back. I then selected the size of bucket I wanted, and tried to insert cash and the machine wouldn't take it. I figured at this point that you probably need a code to put in the machine, but there was no one working the area, so I couldn't ask, also didn't see any signs explaining how to get a code. I'm guessing I have to maybe go to the club house to buy the code, but again, no signage to point me in that direction.

Would appreciate any signage and updating the website to explain the situation with the driving range. I would definitely be there frequently, as I live close by.

Incredibly disappointed by the behavior and attitude of the marshals. Played a round recently with a friend who has a handicap and depends on crutches and we were having a fine time on a fun but tricky course. Two separate marshals then came up to us to scold us about us driving the golf cart to within 10 feet of the green as well as us driving on the fairways and when we tried to explain our needs, they brushed us off, claiming that they want to keep the "conditIons" of the course pristine. These marshals clearly lack compassion and are definitely not accommodating to golfers with disabilities. I will not be returning to this course.

It has a nice lay-out offering various levels of golfers to enjoy playing here. Some greens are small but all greens will hold your attention.
Checkum out. The course has a drive range, food truck, offers Players Club, putting green and golf carts.

BUY THE MEMBERSHIP THIS PLACE IS GREAT. 50 bucks a month for a LARGE free bucket of balls everyday, 2 FREE drinks with when you buy a round, and a round is 17 dollars! Place is laid back and in very good condition currently. Highly recommend it

More challenging than the scorecard suggests. Greens always in great condition. Love this course!

This place is close to my house, great rates, the staff is cool and chill (Alex, Bruce and Jeremy) the course is in fair shape and fun to play. I just wish they would improve the conditions of the range and the carts.

Course is still nice but operation is in bad shape. Very old carts falling apart. No technology. Tee boxes in bad shape. Etc. I was disappointed to see that it had deteriorated so much. I will say that the greens were in nice shape though and the course played well.

Fun course. Greens are in good shape, they did have a lot of grass that was left over after mowing which made it difficult to hit from the first cut. It was a very nice day for golf I enjoyed the course

Mission Trails is one of my favorite San Diego golf courses to play. It's very reasonably priced and well maintained. I would recommend this course to anyone.

The tee boxes are shaggy and the area's around the greens are thick grass making it hard to chip. There are also big dry spots. The lay out is good and the greens are in good condition.

My putter was stolen out of my golf bag right in front of the pro shop within five minutes of getting to the course.

Terrible quality course, little care for the facility. Our golf team uses this place as a "home course", but our practice sessions are less than average because the mats are incredibly old and swamped, and the greens have fungus and are irregularly sanded. We often face the risk of getting hit on by the poorly managed range service with improper installments of netting. We would not recommend this place to play, unless it is for budget golf with no other choice.

Course conditions are horrible. Refund comes to mind. No cocktail service. Waste of time to come back here.
