Christina P. (the supervisor) was very rude to me when I questioned a set of x rays they filed to my insurance mistakenly and hung up the phone on me.
Got them to admit they made a mistake, when I called my insurance and had a conference call w the clinic. My insurance made it clear to them that there is a need for the clinic to fax a document to my insurance so that they could remove it from my insurance history, after which I’d be able to use my insurance benefit of one a year free x ray exam. They said they’ll fax it and this phone call happened on Nov 27. (Not to mention at the end of the call, Christina P.said they’re gonna dismiss me from the clinic, which was totally unprofessional sharing my personal info on the phone w my insurance, and I could file a complaint for that since the call was recorded.)
1 week later they did not fax yet, I call them myself, they refuse to give an estimated time. So I call them through conference call w my insurance. They say it’s be sent in one day. Two days later, I call through my insurance and they say it’ll take 7 more days. 7 days later, they haven’t faxed it yet. There is only 3 weeks left to the end of calendar year, which is the due dare for when my x ray exam for tis year can be used. To me it seems like they’re intentionally postponing this, being unprofessional again, while I believe this even needs to get more attention/priority from them, as this was their mistake and they should take responsibility by doing anything to clear that from my insurance in a timely manner.

Came to this location after a bad experience at a sister location. The experience was immediately improved. The office staff at this location were all friendly and professional. The office manager Christina listened to my grievances regarding other experience and vowed to do everything she could to make it right, and the dentist, Dr Gille, gave me his honest opinion with multiple options to fix the issue. I appreciate his candidness and not trying to upsell to the most expensive option right away.

Do not recommend. Went in for a cleaning they billed my insurance for work they never did.

I visited once. The dental cleaning was insufficient, taking only 15 minutes and there was very little manual tool scraping. My teeth are not clean and I can still feel hardened plaque around the gumline. At my previous dentist, cleanings took at least 30 minutes, sometimes 45, especially because I have some dental pockets of 4mm. I did some googling, and this kind of quick cleaning, usually performed by dentists instead of hygienists, is called "lean and mean, " and is a hallmark of chain dentists. Insurance doesn't pay much for cleanings, so they do them quickly and save money by having dentists do them instead of hiring hygienists.

The office staff was helpful and the dentist seemed smart.

The dentist did a great job. The only thing that was off was that they were running very very behind and I waited a long long time.

Dr. Yasi and my Hygienist Jillian are nothing short of amazing! Their knowledge base and professionalism is top notch with your long term dental health always on their mind. Highly recommended, patient for life.

Just had a cleaning with a 3pm appointment, they took me in even though I was 10 minutes late. They were really quick with checking me in and getting the cleaning started. I enjoy their pre-checkin review process so there isn’t any paperwork to fill out manually when I visit. Everyone was super nice and I highly recommend anyone that is curious about trying them out. 10/10 Service!

I have been with this dentist office for 4 years and even though there are a lot of reviews of upselling and people getting unnecessary things done here, I have a good experience most of the time. Without seeing the dentist in over a year, I come in for a maintenance cleaning for free and once I sit down in the chair, the hygienist (without even looking at my mouth, or the doctor looking) says okay let’s start our deep cleaning on the right hand side of your mouth!? !

I had no idea what was going on. How could someone be upselling me a deep cleaning with lasers and etc without anyone looking at my mouth for over a year? I was very confused and they let me know that they can’t do a regular teeth cleaning until the week after I get my deep cleaning done because that’s what they recommend.

So basically if you schedule an appointment for a teeth cleaning or another service, BE AWARE THAT IF YOU TAKE TIME OFF WORK TO SEE THE DENTIST THEY WONT HELP YOU DO THE PROCEDURE THEY SCHEDULED YOU FOR BUTTTTT THEY WILL UPSELL YOU THINGS and even though those things are not what your scheduled appointment is for, they will have time to sell them to you. BUT not enough time to just do a simple teeth cleaning.

I wonder why… could it be that the cleaning is FREE? Also, I thought customer service was taking care of people especially when it comes to medical customer service.

This was a joke experience and I ended up walking out of the office.

I had to go in for some dental work, and was a little nervous about it. In walked a smiling young dentist, Christine Morgan. She was amazing and after speaking with her for just a few minutes, I was totally relaxed and laughing. I have never had a fun time at the dentist let alone laugh and laugh I did. I highly recommend Dr. Morgan - you will not be disappointed. Dr. Morgan assistants were wonderful - I am sorry I do not have their names.

The dentists/doctors do good work. Very friendly. But Like the other reviews stated, dental assistants barely competent and price for dental work is high. Was originally quoted 1300 to remove all 4 wisdoms teeth & get 2 bone grafts. Only removed 2, got one bone graft, and was still charged 1000. And they don’t give you a itemized receipt after, so I really don’t know what I was charged for. That day the dental assistant stated she would rather go to Tijuana for dental work. Instead of the office they work at. Red flag!

Left the office today after root canal, was called back in bc the DA forgot to take the final X-rays. Then while driving home my temporary crown came off. Should have known it was a bad sign when the DA had trouble putting it in and said the crown was kind of “weird”. Really she meant she couldn’t figure out how to put it back on.

Originally recommended this place to a few friends. Will have to tell them to keep looking. Only returned because my insurance won’t let me change dentists until the 1st of the month.

The best dental experience in San Diego, doctors, hygienists and assistants are very competent, nice and friendly.

I had a Saturday 8am appointment and no one was there when I showed up. I called and left a voicemail and no one has bothered to follow up with me since. The unprofessional jam is astounding.

The front desk staff is friendly and accommodating. The back office staff of DAs are typically young dental school grads that recently worked at some department store type job. Very high turnover. The dentists, that I’ve seen are marginally competent at best. I’ve gone there for a few years for basic dental care but major work is not done well. The real problem is management and billing. They are scammers. They tell you things are not covered by your plan and upsells you on out of pocket cost that they say they can help you with through their finance plan. I was billed $5000 for a upsell service that my dental plan later told me was covered with a cost of $1,500 to me.
There is a lot more horrific parts to this story but I won’t go into details. Don’t take my word for it, just be warned that his is not a fair or safe place to get any serious work done.

I had a bad experience going to the dentist as a child and have always been afraid for even check ups even now in my 30's. This dental office took my insurance and I knew someone that came here for regular cleanings they recommended me to see Scalla, and let me tell you she was the sweetest most gentlest, (but thorough) person I've ever dealt with!

She could tell I was nervous and my favorite part of my experience was that she explained every single thing she was doing before she did it and explained what every tool was before using it which gave me total peace of mind! I highly recommend coming in to Mission Valley Dentists and requesting Scalla to work on you. (Especially if you're a dentist chicken like me lol). Thank you again!

First time going to a dentist in years. All the staff are extremely friendly and make sure you’re taken care of. Scalla did a great job with my teeth cleaning and was incredibly thorough. Will definitely be returning!

My hygienist Scalla did an amazing job on my teeth. She made sure I was comfortable throught out my whole visit. I was not swollen as I had to go to my job leaving the dentist. And Definitely not sore either. Thank you scalla very appreciated by your work!

This office is amazing. The entire staff is so sweet, down to earth, and very personable. Jillian cleaned my teeth after many years of not going to the dentist, and was not judge-mental. The office manager Christina was so nice and talked me through the treatment plan covered. I will be returning for all of my future visits. I will recommend this office to friends and family.

The entire staff here is amazing. Geraldynne was so sweet and polite while taking my x-rays. Dr. Aria is such a polite and professional dentist. He explained the treatment to me ina. Very easy way to understand, he told me what to expect afterwards, and we discussed the long term treatment plan. Christina was nice, and helped with check in and future appointments. Looking forward to being a patient for life.
