We've lived here fours years, never heard a large dog dog howl and cry for four hours during daytime hours, street behind us. Call emergency services and officer Rodríguez explains they're busy on emergency calls and I need to "figure out" the address

AVAILABLE late night emergencies. Will not let you into clinic. Outside checkin. You wait in car for about 3 Hours before return animal depending on how many Serious emergencies. You dont talk to vet accept by phone at check out. Very expensive. Something like $125.00 for exam w/o labs.

Currently the lobby is closed but you can still conduct business over the phone/email. Friendly staff!

Best staff and animals are well cared for. If you are looking to adopt, THIS is the place to start.

My dog was quarantined for a minor bite due to stressors at home. No officers called to let me know he was being taken. No consent was given. No explanations of fees or general conversation was had. I was put on hold and hung up on. My dog came back filthy and anxious due to a lack of contact and excersise. Rules and regulations on these kinds of issues need to be thoroughly revised. Animal Services as well as the dog liscensig scheme is a way to scam people out of money rather than helping animals or their owners during hardships. In addition to these grievences I also noticed my dogs paperwork was incorrect. The employees here barely know how to classify a dogs breed. This can cause issues in apartment and tenant regulations. Please be cautious of "services" being offered without consent.

I adopted two wonderful little kitties from here, and the shelter was beyond wonderful. They were so, so fast to respond to me, and they even gave me a call to go over my application. After the app was approved, I had my new little kitties home the next day. I had been emailing rescue after rescue to adopt a pair of kittens, and the Mission Viejo Animal Shelter was the only location in a week and a half of mailing to get back to me. I appreciate them so much, thank you for helping me adopt two kittens<3 I'm looking forward to a long and wonderful life with them!

This is the 3rd pet we have adopted from MV animal services. Nice staff, Easy process and love rescuing pets!

We had a wonderful experience adopting Mason (now Max). He's a awesome dog and fun addition to our family. The staff at MVASC were super friendly and easy to work with. They answered all of our questions and slowly walked us through the adoption process.

We only went here once to put our dog down, and can’t say how grateful we are to everyone. We arrived at 4: 30am and the staff was friendly and sweet during such a painful time for us. It makes a big difference when making such a necessary but heartbreaking decision.
The follow up card was unexpected yet so appreciated.
We miss our sweet boy but having those final minutes go so peacefully puts our hearts at ease.

My cat died the other day and took it to MVAS
and they were very compassionate and just very nice people! Thank you MVAS for everything!

Staff is friendly and welcoming, and all the furbabies (cats, dogs, and much more) are so cute. It makes my heart hurt to here them cry for attention and to see them wag their tails in hopes of finding a new family, but I know they're in good hands

Looks like they don't want to help people or even find homes for the animals. Is this a kill shelter? I would like to know so i can notify every animal activist in the greater area!

We found our 2 puppy from here. Volunteers here are so nice and helpful. They helped us to find the right match for our family. We couldn't be happier. We still stop by sometimes to play with the dogs. Very clean. And healthy pets.

I think they were wonderful in assisting with the return of my Service animal Daisy. They were prompt and courteous throughout the entire process. I would especially like to thank Officer Helton for her care, compassion, and sincere dedication to her duty servicing the people and pets of our community.

It's unfortunate that they have a ignorant staff they lack common scense and have zero understanding of dog behaviors. The really sad this g is the animals suffer for there stupidity what a shame.

I'm happy to say that they have almost no animals there to adopt out! Even better, they are a "No kill" shelter!

Everyone was very helpful and friendly when we went, dogs seem well cared for. A great place to find a new member of the family

So my dog has a Microchip, and as such I found out that our dog was at this facility. I told the lady that I’d try to make it by 4 which is their closing time. When I got there another lady picked up the phone and told me to I’d have to wait till the next day to pick up our dog as they had already started to close out registers. You would think the lady I originally talked to would have gave a bit of lean way seeing as how she knew that I was in fact on my way. I hope to God I never have to deal with this place again.

They only have 6 vehicles to service the 6 cities. Must file a complaint for them to Come by. Won't patrol area other wise.

Stephanie has gone out of her way to help me get my dog licensed in this area. I'm so grateful for her going above and beyond the call of duty.
