Mission Viejo Transmission & Auto Repair has been maintaining my family’s vehicles for over 20 years. They are honest and very competent. They are also very accommodating to our needs as customers and willing to do whatever is necessary to make repairs as painless as possible. Equally important, on those very infrequent occasions when something went wrong with an initial repair attempt and required a second try, Kevin and his team did everything they could to “make it right. ”

Bottom line: I won’t do business with anyone who does not appreciate me as much as I do them. There is a feeling of trust and mutual respect with MV Transmission that is often lacking with other auto repair businesses.

Nice and friendly. I signed the work order for brake fluid exchange $65. While the car was inside the garage, I received a call that the cost would be now $168 and the $65 was an inspection fee that was not disclosed. The work had already been performed before I agreed. Not very professional. When I went to check out, I was told that there is a 4% credit card use fee. I think that should have been disclosed up front before hand, so beware on your big ticket items. Scandalous on their prices, so watch out. Another drawback is there is no waiting room.

They're a bit pricier $ than other places, but I have had good work done by them before and they do do a good job! It can get full there so come early in the morning. My A/C went out and I needed new back tires rotated. Good Service!

Bought a aftermarket bumper for my car, they gave me estimate it would be 200$ in labor to fix. I agreed right when I got home they called me and told me 700$ lol this place is a joke to charge 700 to install a bumper I already bought

Worst place ever! A bunch of scam artist working here this place is a joke and should be shut down honestly

Dishonest shop. I took my vehicle there and spent over $700 and when i took my vehicle back, nothing was changed. Save your money and use a different shop. Bad customer service and dishonest shop.

I purchase a vehicle that was RECENTLY serviced here per Carfax. It stated that it had it's spark plugs and serpentine belt replaced but after checking myself, neither the belt and spark plugs were replaced at all.

I took my car in for an oil change. As I was driving over the engine light came on. After the oil change was completed I received a call from Brian/Ryan who gave me a engine light code and an explanation. He told me there was no way to diagnose the problem without "taking the engine apart. " The cost? $545. I asked for the code again and called another repair shop. I was told that the code was related to either the wrong oil or low oil and that an oil change would fix the problem. I picked up the car with the engine light still on. Two days after the oil change was complete the check engine light went off.

Negative reviews are meant to help people discover and avoid dishonest businesses. This was not a case of slow service, or bad interpersonal exchanges. This was a dishonest person hoping to make quick money on something that didn't need to be done.

Wouldnt recommend anyone coming here unless they want to get rude service and upcharging tactics. Very long wait times that they seem to be proud of.

I had a coupon for 2 uses. First time was no issues as they told me I needed a sway bar (possibly another term for the part) to do the alignment correctly and they didn't think it would work effectively. I came back many months later to now pay for the item to get the car correctly aligned. Working with the longer hair guy with the jewelry was fine and professional. When I believe I talked to the owner (Kevin), he told me all the things I needed and he would put a package deal together for brakes, part to make alignment correct and struts.he told me that my brake pads were near the metal and needs attention. When i told him I just had them replaced maybe 4 months beforehand, he put that more on the back burner and now saying it has a few months before needing replacement! Struts? Took it to my normal mechanic and told me brakes were fine for now, struts had no issues and gave me a place to get the alignment done without the pressure of unneeded parts and labor. The "coupon" I paid for? Not going back to give them business and I will eat that cost.

DON'T recommend this SCAM place you will be paying more, owner is very rude an unprofessional I went on 7/17/21 for car alignment and was a nightmare my car was barely out of alignment and after they worked on and several hours looks like they made worse, I went back and complain about the issue and owner or whoever manager told me I was the rims or tires problem after 5 minutes the put the car again with a different technician and he told car was still not aligned properly by previous coworker, this to a bad an inexperience mechanic, don't waste your money be aware of this place. I endng paying in other for what they couldn't get done right.

If you think the price is too high, you’re right.run! These guys are terrible how they excessively over charge and lie about parts that need to be repaired or replaced. I do not write reviews, but I think people need to be prepared before dealing with these guys. No integrity, sad.

Had a problem with my engine. Check light came on and car stalled. Took it to Mission Viejo transmission where they assessed that it was not a problem. Told me to come back if it acts up again. No charge. This is fourth visit and always good work at fair prices and honest analysis.

I don't know who needs to hear this but please be aware of this unethical company.
This was my experience with Mission Viejo Transmission; and being held at gun point today by 3 officers in Huntington Beach because of their lack of ethics! I'm mortified.
They fraudulently sold me a car that did not belong to them! They sold me someone's car who was having a hard time paying for their repairs, and then lied to the real owner about it and said I took the car for a test drive and never returned it! I find out by being pulled over and held at gun point by 3 Huntington Beach Officers.
Someone had a hard time paying for their repairs, so Kevin the owner, put a lien on their vehicle as collateral. With that being said, Kevin then sold the car to me on a payment plan with cash up front and post dated checks along with a contract for me to get the title at the end of the payments. I even registered the expired tags to my address with this contract! Real owner of the car, comes to claim his vehicle and instead of telling him the truth; they told the owner that someone stole his car from their lot. Then they lied to the police when I showed them cashed checks and cash withdraws that were given to Kevin for this car, Kevin and his Manager on site who helped facilitate the sale, stated that I was lying and that I took the car for a test drive and never returned it. Unbelievable! The police did not site me or arrest me because my story lined up perfectly; but because they had not given me the pink slip yet, the real owner was able to come claim the vehicle.
Needless to say, don't buy a used car from them (I wouldn't give them a dime for any repairs either at this point) - the cars they have there on site all belong to the owner still! There is nothing I can do about this today as the police agreed with me upon seeing my evidence; they said it's now a civil issue - so I'll be suing for everything they took from me and punitive damages for being held at gun point and handcuffed for their fraudulent lies.

I've given them the opportunity to make this right and instead of doing so they are slandering me on FB and claiming innocence.

Very bad experience. Those guy super duper arrogence and ask for oil change labor to be 100 bucks.

Lyft Driver I came in for some routine service on my ride and I am so impressed by the welcome I received. I think I found my mechanic in OC! Loving family run business Thx guys!

I am a return customer because they have many bays and mechanics, complete auto and customer care. They are trust worthy and I will return for services.

After a nightmare of an experience over at Century West in Studio, getting my routine service down at Mission Viejo Transmission and Auto Repair is a walk in the daisies.

I took my car here because the engine light was on. They did the diagnostic correctly but they waist so much time and take so long to tell you what’s going on with your car. Their customer service is horrible and people are rude. I don’t recommend this shop at all. Please save your money and time.
