Mission View Health Center, San Luis Obispo CA

My mom just left after almost 3 years there. I took her down to Santa Monica to be in another care home for her reconstructive hip surgery at UCLA and holy moly is she missing the staff at mission. Everyone was so nice there and it was always immaculate. Of course those places always smell a little off putting but I am so impressed with how they run the ship over there. -*Communication- stellar

*friendliness check plus - oh and Kim, an aide (not even my moms aide) actually cleaned my car after my mom threw up on a little car drive I took her on.
Dustin and Dr. Downey went above and beyond to help my mom get transferred down to LA to help her get closer to her surgeon.
The lobby has some beautiful new artwork, and almost every room has a beautiful view of a garden. The main courtyard has plenty of tables for families to have lunch together.
The only downside was the laundry got lost a lot but seriously in the big scheme of things that’s peanuts. Clothes come and go; family members are treated with respect and dignity. Call light goes on and the nurses are on it. Heros for sure. I could sleep well at night knowing my fragile mom was in superb Hands. What more could you ask for with an aging parent. 5 star facility,
Hands down

Today is been 1 month since I got here! Got here on a wheelchair after spending 2 months in the hospital, and today, been my last day, I get to walk again without the need of a wheelchair! The staff has been incredible…Drs, nurses, CNAs, the physical therapists helped me immensely, and thanks to the cooks for adjusting to my vegan diet!
