Mistlin Gallery reviews
13Artistic haven in downtown Modesto. Fun exhibits. Check out the 6x6 fundraiser! Anyone can donate a 6x6 artwork or photo to be sold for $36. Here's two - one by me, one by a neighbor. 200+ have already been submitted but they can still use more!
The staff is nice, and both the exhibited art and the gift shop selections are interesting and well-done. Some of the work displayed in June 2022 is stunning.
Great way to get featured for your art. The employees were very nice to me and were always there to answer questions if needed.
Love this art Gallery the exhibits change always so it's never boring looking at the same art. I have sold alot of my art work their years back.
We held an event here during their after-hours. They were great to work with and everything looked beautiful!
We actually we're here for a funeral of a local artist. We stayed and enjoyed the art for awhile afterwards. The space is well lit, with a diverse collection of art. Loved the mosaic voilins and cellos.
Volunteer organization with rotating exhibits that are changed about every 2 months. No fee to enter. Since they started a nude model night for artists, there are a lot more nudes in the exhibits so check it out first if you are looking for a family friendly exhibit.
Disclaimer: I show here and am on committees and the Board. It is an artist coop and has a lot to offer the public and its membership: Wednesday night live figure drawing for $10.00, a gift shop, monthly shows, contests, classes, located downtown with parking vouchers for free parking in the garage at 10th and K and 11th and K access, and more. Check it out on Third Thursdays from 500 PM to 830 PM where free food and wine are often accompanied by free music as well while the public views the original art for sale. Membership fees are reasonable, especially for students. 18 and older are accepted as members. Artists must be juried in to show in the gallery or the gift shop.
They have art camps for kids. My daughter made some really cool stuff and even got to go on a field trip. Keeps them busy instead of being on their tablets or PS-4's all summer. The reason for only 4 stars is that they need the option to pay online; having to go there in person to pay or to Parks & Rec when you work all day is inconvenient and time consuming. They are open on Friday evenings until 8, but because of the street fair, parking is very difficult and the volunteers that were there that evening didn't even know how to process payment for the camp.
Awesome place. Lovely art and jewelry by locals. Mixed media and photos too. Well worth a visit.
Im not into art but I came here for a school project and I had a good experience. I would recommend. Also helps that the taco place they have next door is amazing.
Didn't like the music group, Reflection Duo, on Thurs night Art Walk. The guitar player was poorly dressed & the singer was terrible.
“Nice place to visit”
located in down town Modesto this is one must see while here they offer a wide selection of art work I found this location to be enhancing and serine.
