Mitra's Cafe Persian Kabob reviews
17Nothing bad to say, owner is friendly, reasonable pricing, and best of all the food is absolutely delicious. The gyro wrap is simply amazing and the fries were some of the best I’ve had in quite a long time
I loved the beef and chicken kabobs! Also did anyone notice the sign in the front? I love that they are willing to feed the hungry, since restaurants waste soo much food. I think it’s a community gem, not to mention the price was right!
Ordered a Beef Wrap. Let me tell you it had so much flavor. Very good food! If you’ve never had Mediterranean food this is a great place to try it for the first time! Good prices to
I have to say, Mitras really surpassed my expectations. The koobideh is excellent and tasty. The chicken kabobs are equally the same. Max the owner is really nice and the prices are the best in the area. So stop by and try the food, I don't give high reviews, but this place hits the mark. Oh ya lunch special is only 6.99 for one skewer, rice and salad!
Best Persian food west of the Mississippi. You can tell there’s a lot of love that goes into their food.
Amazing food! Love the owner! Been coming here since I was a young teen. Always hits the spot and great prices
I come here for the service. The owner is super nice and the food is always consistently yummy.
The food is delicious but unsanitary. The man doesn't use gloves when preparing the food. Just be mindful of that, it's kinda nasty. The guy touches money and then your food, I saw it with my own eyes he was making/packing up a gyro after handling the register
Please support this local business! Kabobs are amazing and some of the kindest souls you will EVER meet! Thank you Mitras!
It's crazy how you suppose to go somewhere else to eat and you didn't receive the good customer service so you literally leave and ending up discovering the hidden gem. I am not going to mention where I went before this restaurant because I don't like to hurt small business but I end up discovering Mitra's Cafe my mistake and fall in love with it. Now, I have been going there for past couple of years. The food is amazing {especially Lamb shank recommended by owner). But what stands out is the chef and owner Max. An all around good person. He handles the registers, cooks the food, and serves. He does it all. He survived the pandemic, and he wants to help those in need. There is a sign in front of his restaurant which says, "If you are hungry and don't have money we will feed you. Just let us know. -Mitra's Cafe". Wow, that warms my heart emotionally speaking, I can't never see human or animal or birds hungry.
Seriously, These are the kinds of small businesses we definitely should support.
BTW - The food is halal!
I hope my experience was a fluke but the food really wasn't good. The falafel was super dry, the gyro meat was bland and didn't look like they made it in store, and the babaganoush was the absolute worst I've ever had. There were giant globs of tahini and yogurt (?) that weren't even partially blended in. You can see that in the picture below. So disappointing.
Employee was very rude i called in to place an order and was asking questions about the menu he became frustrated and told me to call back when i knew what i wanted
I have to say there are a lot of people with high standards leaving reviews. The food is great and well priced. My friends and I from work try to go at least once a week. The food is consistently tasty and leaving me wanting more. The owner has never been rude and I’ve never had a problem with quality. I would recommend this place to anyone.
This place was the real deal. I liked the food the service and the flavors of the different dishes. I would definitely try this place if you want real persian cuisine and Mediterranean cuisine.
Pretty good kababs. Not bad. Portions are kinda small, but they have a good lunch special so it's worth a try.
Thought I'd try this place. Food was OK - got the beef Kabob plate to go. Portions were a bit on the small side but OK for lunch. You have options for 2 sides - I chose salad and hummus. Salad was good and so was the hummus but small portions. But I did find a hair in my food and that combined with the general vibe of the owner as kinda down and the fact that he was handling the food and the money was unsettling for lack of a better term.
We just found our favorite place to eat lunch. Convenient location. Delicious Persian food (our favorite. Kabob with rice and salad). Reasonably priced. We'll be back.
