Supermarket Mitsuwa Marketplace reviews
30 Oh boohoo, "i have to wear a mask".
Store policy. Get over it. Also, your face covering is supposed to cover your nose. I dont know why its so hard to cover your nose. Thats how you properly wear the mask. And whats with wearing gloves? From disposable to gardening and mechanic gloves, you dont need gloves unless your hands are covered in fresh cuts. Whats the logic of having your nose exposed with this virus floating in the air? Pretty stupid logic. The driveway is a city issue, not a mitsuwa issue. Blame the city.
Ahahahahaha.
I bought a few bags of Japanese green tea and plum candies at this Mitsuwa Marketplace. The cashier was courteous and the selections of Japanese goods were impressive. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience as a shopper there.
Sharp driveway angle Will damage any lower profile, lower ground-clearance vehicle entering or existing.
I should be grateful that we even have a Mitsuwa. I know a lot of people wish it was like the Torrance one. Trust me I as well, but they still do have some pretty good stuff to buy and pretty good onigiri. The sushi is pretty good and the beef bowl is solid. I just wish the beef bowl was bigger.
The pricing is fair I would say. You’re going to be able to buy cheaper vegetables at a 99 ranch or H-mart, but they have some things that you can only find their which makes it unique in its own right. Staff is friendly and the location is easy to get to.
A Cashier slammed my merchandises into the bag. She treats customer like garbage. I complained to ofher employee, but she said there is no pount to tell the manager.
Small Japanese store with a great ready made food section that they make fresh ever morning but get there before noon cus it goes fast
Honestly not bad. I usually pass by here on the way home. So I decided to give it a try. Decent price, good size and good pastrami sandwich. If the bread was different or they would've added a side of pickle they could've compete with sam's deli in Fresno (best pastrami sandwich)
Great place in the San Gabriel Valley to find good Japanese products. Beats having to drive to Santa Monica.
Clean. Hand sanitizer everywhere. Tents are set up to shade you if the store happens to be busy and you must line up. There's a good selection of snacks, drinks, and groceries. I like the sales they have for certain items everytime I go here.
I like the quality & variety of their sashimi grade fish plus the cooked ready to eat Japanese food selections.
Nice Japanese market, part of a big chain, but this is a very small store. Decent selection. No food court unfortunately, unlike their other locations. Plenty of parking. Friendly helpful staff.
Good selection of sushi grade seafood. Nice selection of Japanese groceries. Friendly customer service!
Pricey? Can be!
But if you're looking for a selection of Japanese groceries, this is a pretty good place to go. Granted, it doesn't have EVERYTHING, but it does a good job of providing the basics.
Are you looking for Japanese food and special grocery items? Try this store as you will find lot of imported Japanese food that's obviously not available from your typical American supermarket or neighborhood grocery store. Some of their items are little bit expensive though but hey, you won't find those elsewhere. You probably won't shop here regularly unless you're buying special ingredients or snacks, or you just really want to shop here.
Great place to shop for Japanese food and items. People working there are friendly and helpful.
I like that they actually have some good sodas from Japan and not just an overstock of Ramune and Calpico. However when I bought a drink I ended up paying an extra 50 cents as the label on the shelf was actually incorrect, so be warned mistakes can happen.
This the only japanese market in this area.im glad i dnt have to drive to torrance or west covina or even costa mesa
Happy to get a Japanese supermarket in San Gabriel, Alhambra area. To get a different choice of shopping.
Nice.place to shop for Japanese food ingridients and condiments, but they don't have pickled squid.
Had a great selection of New Year's Day food options. Wasn't crowded in the morning and was able to find everything I needed.
