OMG the vegetarian lasagne and lobster ravioli are so dang delicious I can't stop thinking about it and can't wait to have it again the next time I visit Long Beach! Perfection.

Good food for affordable prices in a beautiful setting. What more could anyone ask for? The staff was courteous and helpful. The service was fast. Definitely coming back here next time I'm in long Beach.
Don't get me wrong, it isn't the best food I've ever eaten but it is definitely worth more than the asking price.

The absolute worst Italian I've ever had! They should shut down.
They call this Italian please. How does one get away with servicing customers with the food.

The food was good, I'd recommend the lobster ravioli, but when ordering wine they were out of three vintages listed on the menu. Somewhat dog friendly, and offers live music on the weekends (jazz and standards). It is located within walking distance to shops and not too far from the beach. The wait staff was pleasant and didn't really rush us until they were closing at end of night.

I typically don't order lasagna from restaurants because the portions usually leave you hungry or disappointed. Not here, I was pleasantly surprised.

This place is cool! I come with my dog for the outdoor seating. Food is good and coffee great! They even serve beer and wine.

This place gives you full service: (from the table to the bathroom. I didn't even have time to get up from my chair to get to the car I had to ask him where the bathroom was. Food of very low quality

I really wanted to try Modica’s after hearing such good things but my experience was a huge letdown. The Italian pasta salad I ordered was $7 and the quality/portion did not justify the price. The cheese, pepperoni, salami and dressing were extremely bland. On the menu it says the salad comes with pepperoncini’s and roasted peppers but those were absent from my salad. I ordered the 16” meatball sandwich and had to pay an extra $4 for mozzarella. The best thing about that sandwich was the bread. The sauce was ok. The sandwich came with plenty of meatballs but the flavor was akin to frozen meatballs from the grocery store. The customer service was average at best. At this restaurant’s price point I’m not motivated to order from here again.

The Sandwiches and salads always slap here. I've gone here at least 4 times since living in Downtown Long Beach and it's always incredible

Split sandwich for 2 and a nice cold peroni. Best sandwich spot in town. Sitting outside on a beautiful Long Beach day and enjoying a bite.

Easily the best Pastrami sandwich in Southern California and I'm not kidding. I live, love, love Monica's. They have a big selection. My two favorite are their BLT, and of course their Pastrami sandwich. The bread is perfect and the sandwiches themselves are perfection! I also love their ziti/pesto salad. Just wonderful. The wait staff, the atmosphere and the deli itself all lend to a great place to go. Try it and you will love ️ it too! ‍️

A great little restaurant in the heart of Long Beach. The food is fantastic, the ambiance is delightful (lovely outdoor seating), and the staff really make this place a great stop on your trip to long beach. I highly recommend the pastrami sandwich and a nice glass of red wine. A special thanks to staff members Tyler, Clarissa, Anthony, and momma Modica for making my last night in Long Beach my favorite night in LA. Ask for Anthony and tell him Mark sent ya. Enjoy.

This place is awesome! Sandwichs are super bomb and the lasagna even better. Reasonable prices friendly service great location.

This is the second time I've been here and both times were good, very fresh ingredients and i love it! I recommend the heart attack jack! (In photo)

I enjoyed my time here at Modica's. I came here for something light and fast to eat for my birthday. I enjoyed my food and the service. Everyone was so nice and very helpful. The owner's son was a breath of fresh air. He kept me laughing each time he came to insure my table was ok. Will I come back? Heck yes!

Good! I had the French dip and it was decent and a nice sized portion (I got extra meat and extra cheese for fun) wish it was more flavorful but I’m not at all mad.

Modicas has been my favorite place to go and have lunch and dinner at for more than 10 years! When i was living down on Linden (12) years i would go to modicas just about daily! From the subs to pasta dinner meals and their desserts! You cant go wrong! The staff and owner there are great people as well! Id recommend this place to any and everyone looking for Great food, huge portions without breaking the bank at all very reasonable prices but it doesn't take away from the quality of the food at all! If your ever down near ocean id say stop in and get yourself some food that ur taste buds will thank you for later!

Modica's Deli located in the downtown community of Long Beach is a great find. We recently went by and were pleasantly surprised with a great deal on a lunch special. I proceeded to order it and it was yummy. There were other individuals enjoying a meatball sandwich. The portions are plentiful. Bring your appetite.
