Modo Yoga San Diego reviews
21Awesome yoga studio with amazing teachers. Very supportive and encouraging for those new to yoga.
This place is feels very local and you can tell it's a part of the community. They have a huge chalkboard when you walk in that welcomes people to add their input. My boyfriend practiced here and took over 300 classes with them and I would come in once every few months. The owners have always been so kind. Only thing I'll mention is that you could tell the culture may be changing as they continue to grow, but hoping they can continue to maintain their small studio feel for new students.
Totally new to yoga and was invited by my neighbor. They knew my name in my first session! Constantly impressed with the teachers and the vibe. I completely recommend Modo in San Diego as the facility is great, and everyone is so friendly.
Moda Yoga is the absolute best! I love the staff and have tried multiple classes and have enjoyed them all. I'm still new to yoga but I never feel out of place or uncomfortable because everyone is so welcoming and accommodating. Go check them out!
Great instructors, with great knowledge! Love Lauren’s quotes at the start and end of class!
I lived in San Diego for a month and decided to try Hot Yoga and found Modo. Frenny, Andrew, and Lauren are great & I miss their classes! The east coast can't compete:)
I recently finished my two week introductory pass with Modo and am strongly considering becoming a member. They offer a variety of classes and I really enjoyed both the Modo and Modo Flow classes. The instructors are clearly passionate about yoga, but beyond that it is clear that they take pride in having a connection the members. Being greeted with a warm smile at 6 am makes getting up for hot yoga worth it. Plus they have showers and serve herbal tea, huge plus. Overall, satisfied with the experience and looking forward to more classes here.
Great studio, well organized, clean and tidy and ample facilities. Great caring yogis and comfortable atmosphere. Worth the commute. The best deal on mats and towel service!
I was having left shoulder pain so bad while I was driving to Modo yoga last week. I reserved Yin 60 class with frenny, so I was able to relax and streach out my both arms, neck and miracle happened.after 60 mins class, my pain was gone. I was so happy and stayed for another Yang Yin 60 calss with Andrew. Thank you Modo yoga, Frenny and Andrew.
Nope, you have to make an account on their website even to try their karma class. You can't just show up and sign up for the class without forking over all your information.
Also I emailed in advance asking if I needed to be a member and was told no.
The best yoga studio I have ever been to. Everyone from the owners to the instructors are so kind. It’s truly a place of no judgement!
I tried the two week intro special and just loved this placed. It's challenging and fun, the owners were very welcoming! The best part is that they have a lot of different styles of classes, so you can really pick your style based on how you are feeling that week. The heat does feel a lot at first, but one gets used to it eventually
Tried a few yoga studios in San Diego since I’ve moved down and Modo locked me in. Wonderful staff and a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommended if you’re looking for hot yoga.
Just took my first hot yoga classes this week. Modo Yoga San Diego was welcoming and teachers guided the class offering modification so I felt comfortable. Took a Modo 45,60 and a Yin class. The entire space was beautifully designed and spotless! I feel inspired, relaxed and can't wait to go back.
The Modo yoga community has been so welcoming unlike most yoga studios. I appreciate all the instructors and their styles and that they all offer modifications during practices so anyone can be part of the experience. They also create a welcoming group/community that practices which was
important to me. Wherever you are in your journey, I recommend checking them out.
This was my first time trying hot yoga and I absolutely love it and am working to make it a practice and discipline. I had started my yoga journey 4 years ago and sustained a couple injuries that put it on hold (broken ankle and sprained ankle) which led to a herniated disc in my lower back! So my return was slow. And I continue to be cautious, but it definitely helps doing the hot yoga which allows a bit more flexibility for me. And, as I said, the instructors all offer modifications and guide everyone through whatever level they are at which is awesome. I highly recommend Modo Yoga!
Best yoga studio ever! The people are wonderful. The place is clean. It’s so welcoming and inviting. Such a great experience.
I am in love…and let me start by saying I was NOT a fan of Yoga, let alone Hot Yoga, but that was before Modo. I was encouraged by my physical therapist to try hot yoga again as I am dealing with a series of injuries so I grudgingly tried the new student offer. Well, I never looked back. Modo, the entire team and the patrons, is a welcoming place to attempt a yoga practice if you are new to it. All the teachers are great and are super helpful if you ask for suggestions or tips. Also the hands on adjustments (with consent) are helpful and never too much. The facility is roomy and super clean. You’ll see every type of yoga body here and I never feel judged or uncomfortable. Finally, there is a great selection of classes at all times of the day and the app is so easy to use. I can safely say I have found my workout home and I actually look forward to going to class! Thanks Modo Yoga!
I signed up for the 2 week classes a few months back and enjoyed the classes. I tried different classes and instructors and found all of the classes good.
I love this studio. Very accepting and has an easy going vibe that is super inviting. I love that I can modify my poses or skip altogether without any feeling of judgement. The heat was a first for me but I found it tolerable and even a bit enjoyable:)
Modo is a particularly lovely studio with a plethora of highly skilled teachers. I appreciate the level of awareness each teacher brings and their focus on preserving the sacred: no phones or conversations in the practice space. I always leave Modo feeling blissed-out.
