MoMo Masalas reviews
17Absolutely delicious, one of my favorite places in Berkeley. Get their vegetable momos; IMO better than 小笼包:)
Ordered samosas and chicken curry online. The food was ready exactly on time, tasted excellent and even better, the ladies who worked there were SO FRIENDLY and NICE! I will definitely be back.
It was good, might be the best place to eat in the Bay Area, possibly the world. Try the chicken platter.
Been eating here since they opened up, have nothing but good things to say about quality of food, owners and above all the momo sauce (that i always get extras of). Highly recommend this spot for any occasion!
I have been to this place many times because the food is delicious and the owners are super friendly and welcoming. I have tried many dishes on the menu and everything is fantastic. There are also plenty of vegetarian and vegan options including an impossible Momo!
Momo Masalas has to be my favorite restaurant in Berkeley! The dishes are all delicious, but if you go you absolutely must try either the Butter. Chicken, Jhol Momo, or Biryani. The owners are some of the nicest people I've ever met and going there is definitely one of the highlights of my week.
We love this as a lunch place! They specialize in Momo’s but also have more general South Asian cuisine. Our go-to dishes are the paneer chili, beef momos, and salty lassi.
My daughter and I have been coming here for years regularly for their momos. Tasty food and the owners are delightful. Double check they’re open before you show up, as occasionally the hours shift (I think normally it’s to account for campus schedule). So glad they made it through Covid!
I am so confused because I was so hyped to try this place after reading the reviews but the food I ordered was probably the worst food I've tried. I ordered paneer tikka masala and it had a weird pinkish color to it. I have had so much paneer tikka masala in my life and I have never had something so downright bad. I also ordered the veg chowmein and while it smelled good, the taste was painfully bland. I asked for both items to be extra spicy and what I got was 2 items that made me question if they had been seasoned at all given how bland they were. Again, I am so confused because all the reviews were raving. Rarely do I wish I hadn't ordered take out but this is one of those times where I feel like I absolutely wasted $32.
A nice little shop serving up juicy momos and other typical Nepali dishes (i.e. Chili chicken, chili paneer, chow meins, samosas, etc). My only suggestion would be for a bit more spice in the jhol broth. Otherwise, a great place near UC Berkeley with super friendly staff.
Great Indo-Nepalese joint. Amazing Momos. The entrees come with rice. Would recommend ordering fr the Nepalese menu. Great chilli chicken.
I’m an extremely selective person when it comes to traditional Indian food, and I’ll be honest, this is the only place - out of all the other Indian restaurants that I have been to across 3 continents (I MEAN THIS) - that makes Butter Chicken like HEAVEN. Also the owners and staff are amazing - I even call the co-owner Aunty! That’s the kind of amazing vibe this place gives off. Oh and all the other food is great too
The lady running it is so sweet and gave me and my friends free chai. The food was amazing with good proportions. Can't wait to come back, most definitely recommend!
I came here a week ago and ordered the chicken biryani- absolutely delicious, so savory and flavorful. MoMo Masalas is now one of my favorite eateries in Berkeley and I plan to bring friends here in the future. Also, the owner was so polite and sweet! Seriously though, the food was so good that now, a week later, I was thinking about it and felt inclined to leave a review. Note: call ahead, like 15 min before, and the food will be ready to go when you're there! I didn't know some dishes took 15+ minutes, but calling in is very easy and worth it.
Tasty ethnic food right next to the north gate of campus. Thank you for the lady for bringing me hot delicious food on a cold day and gave me hot sauce. I feel ready to climb Mount Everest now
This is one of the best restaurants in Berkeley! I had to organize a party and ordered catering for 18 people. The food was the highlight of the evening! I was expecting there to be some leftover but absolutely nothing was left. People loved it and got seconds and thirds! Highly recommend this restaurant if you want a delicious and authentic experience of the Himalayan dishes!
P. S.their chicken chilly is an absolute banger!
