Mona Lisa Italian Foods reviews
18 Mona Lisa is hands down the best place to get a sandwich in Little Italy. Their deli/store has authentic Italian food made from scratch. They also have a restaurant next to deli where you can get a hot meal if you like.
I highly recommend it if you are close by. They have free parking in their lot right in front of the store. Stop in and treat yourself to something you won't soon forget.
A mainstay of San Diego's Little Italy, Mona Lisa offers classic Italian dishes. The food is tasty and the staff is friendly and attentive.
This food was not good.we had horrid heart burn afterwards the first dish was wrong they claim.the pizza was great but I thought it was not they used tomatoes for.the paste it's was to bland not going back here
Just okay. We figured since this had a homey look their focus would be on the food. The garlic bread was good, the sesame seeds were a delicious and unique addition. Caprese was good and fresh. The Marinara was nothing to write home about. Biggest disappointment was the Alfredo. The fettuccine was a tasty thin egg noodle but the sauce had an overwhelming roasted garlic taste. We should have stuck with sandwiches based on the reviews.
Walking in you are transported to small family run Italian markets anywhere, anyplace. Ambience can't be beat and the entire staff goes out of their way to be of service. Just perusing the well stocked shelves is a delight! Adjoining restaurant, is amazing! Had a perfect spagetti with homemade meat sauce and ceasar salad. Will file this away for my next visit to Little Italy!
We go out of our way to get food here. Great people and food! Parking not the best but we make it work for the food.
Great place to find Italian delicacies I haven't had since way back when. And killer sandwiches too!
Very nice shop! Full of Italian specialties and a beautiful deli counter. The selection was wonderful and many liquor varieties to choose from.
Love this place. Best deli staff I've ever encountered. Really good sandwich at an unbelievable value.
Lasagna is awesome my kids loves it. My favorites, caesar salad with chicken and the caprice sandwich. I personally add prosecuto to it (Caprice on steroids)
We have been going here for longer than I can recall. The eggplant is so tasty! We also shop there and try to cook at home.
The best pizza in San Diego!
There is an Italian store with authentic products from Italy, and awesome handmade pasta, different kinds of it. They have deli and restaurant as well. Pizza in the restaurant is amazing, any kind of it is just belissimo!
Wonder deli and restaurant. They have a lot of authentic Italian foods. The restaurant is quaint, warm and family oriented. The food is great. Really lasagna and pasta with pesto was amazing. Great place in little Italy in San Diego.
Great customer service, Dan was very helpful with the menu and hanlde my order with effectiveness and quality, overall very clean place, family friendly and great wine selection
One of the few genuine delis in San Diego, they have a great selection, and they make some of the best sandwiches you've ever had. Funny enough, I worked here for a month about 15 years ago, and I gained 10 pounds while I was there. Why? Because you can make yourself a sandwich behind the counter for lunch, and I would make some hearty hoagies. 10/10, would nom again.
The best sandwiches u dont need to order extra meat and chesse there big allready huge i alway get 3or 4 of the parm ends left put in cream and some vegs the itailan one soup just had a nice taste to store others in baggie in frezzer
I will go back to this restaurant! I likes the food, service and atmosphere. There is usually a wait to get in, but that is becauae they are good!
Super disappointed drove out of my way to go here for lunch.arrived I was ignored for almost 10minutes while staff chatted. They only had one tiny dryed up peice of Lasagna a pasta that didn't look appetizing at all and the same for the pizza. Lazy staff I guess! They even forgot to give me my bread. If I could would give it no stars. Lame: (
