This plaza is full of yummy restaurants and we randomly decided to eat at Monja Taiker because we were walking around and saw other diners inside.

Great, no-frills, solid Taiwanese food. The menu is huge but includes all the classics like pork rice, beef noodle soup, popcorn chicken, milk tea, etc. The interior is small but we managed to get seated immediately on a Friday night.

We ordered Monja Red Grain Pork Rice (most popular item), Beef Noodle Soup, and a spicy side dish of seaweed, bean curd, and pig ear. Everything was actually really delicious and satisfying.

My favorite was the char siu, I think this restaurant calls it "Monja Pork". It seems to be their specialty. It was slightly dry but the outside texture of the pork is really good. It's crispy and slightly sweet, really different from the char siu I've had elsewhere!

The pork rice and noodle soup were tasty, very clean with good flavor (though I prefer mine with more fat! Haha) The side dish was a good complement to our meal, but I wish it was spicier.

I was really surprised by how fast our food came out. The service was efficient as well. What a hidden gem! I'm glad we randomly came in here, I will be coming back whenever I am in the area:)

I always come for their A2 (monja red grain pork rice) and popcorn chicken. They give big portions for their popcorn chicken, so it’s more worth to get it from here than at any boba shops if you want a snack. Their A2 has fried char siu so it’s crispy on the outside but the inside is still soft. It’s a very simple meal, but I always feel satisfied afterwards.

I’ve had their monja red grain pork fry noodles before, but it wasn’t my go to.

I always go for the Monja red grain pork, either with rice or soup. Good portions, decent prices and always hit the spot when I would come in. The only issue the parking can be a pain in that plaza, well on the above ground parking mostly.

Love this place though I do think the food at the other location (Rosemead) was a bit better. Still great at this location though.

Very average Chinese/Taiwanese cuisine. We ordered their specialty pork rice dish and a beef stew noodle soup and both dishes were lacking in taste. There was almost no taste at all! The positive thing I can say is that the portions are big.

A great Taiwanese restaurant, with all the dishes that you might expect. The cold noodles, vegetarian, were delicious. The fried chicken, definitely order it. The vegetables with sprinkling of meat is worth ordering as well - and to meet your mom's advice to eat your veggies. We also had the Boba tea, it was OK (get one next door at the matcha place).

We visit this place whenever we visit this area. Their red grain pork with porridge is a must get combo. Very authentic Taiwanese restaurant!

Authentic food in large proportions! The menu is expansive and includes a lot of different options for street food. This is definitely a good place for large groups. Parking in this plaza is tough so make sure you carpool or plan accordingly.

Must try!
I love their red grain pork with rice. The staff were nice and the food delivered quickly. The place is small, so it will pe packed during lunch time. The food was awesome with an affordable price.

Had meals here a few times before which was ok. But tonight's order was extremely chaos.
Beef noodle was very blend, taste nothing like beef soup. The other dish, the red grain pork looked and tasted like from the night before, meat was dark and hard, lost the appetite right away by looking at it. The minced pork on top of the rice was also the same way.
Moving on to Taiwanese meat ball, if you want a meat ball from days ago with skin feels like dinosaur skin, you've certainly come to the right place. Any Taiwanese can tell you that's probably the worst meal ball from around the area.
Conclusion: might be my bad luck having a bad cook tonight compare previous experience. But if the business owner wish to obtain customers, do something!

Monja Is the worst Taiwanese cuisine restaurant in the Los Angeles County. I will never go to this restaurant again. The service was horrible. The food was below average. My noodle had some strong chlorine smell. The restaurant setting was messy. We were required to wear face masks until the food arrived and after we finished the food.

Food was good when I tried it weeks ago. Yesterday I got a charge for $1. Why? Pay with cash here, not card.

Can't go wrong with order C5 and their infamous fried BBQ pork. They're so yummy that every time I think about going to Monja, my mouth start salivating ;D.
