MonkeySports Irvine reviews
27I went last week to get my sons stick strung the person that helped me was very nice and helpful.
Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Pretty much always find what I need. Skate services are good - I've heard the complaints but I've been getting skates sharpened here 5+ years and never had a bad edge.
Awesome store with lots of Baseball/Softball, Hockey, and Lacrosse equipment. They have an indoor cage for trying out bats and lacrosse sticks. Also a little mini hockey cage for trying hockey sticks as well. This is a well known store with lots of pictures to help describe in more detail.
Great place for your baseball needs. There are deals to be found in store and online. The one knock would be is that they don't really cater to the entry level player.
The sales associate was friendly and knowledgeable. Helped us with a full set of hockey gear and a few other things. Was in and out in no time.
I read many reviews complaining about poor service and unfriendly employees. So I was a bit apprehensive going into the store. Well I’m happy to say that Lupe and Trenton were fabulous with my difficult request. They were more than obliging and friendly. Thanks for the great service.
Awesome spot to get hockey gear. It's too bad the Northridge store isn't as well run and staffed.
Nice to shop in a clean, clutter free store. Products are well organized and easy to find. Sales associate was helpful and seemed relatively knowledgeable. Not the cheapest prices but they probably have what you need when you need it.
The Service: There are quite a few staffs on the floor and behind the cashier helping customers. Service is very efficient and they are all very knowledgeable about their products. Very organized and well stocked store. Very good customer service!
The Parking: Private lot (free)
We had some hockey gear we needed for the kids and we dropped in to monkey sports. The staff greeted us at the door and were very helpful with us. We found everything we needed except they didn't have one of the gloves Jeremy wanted.
Overall great store and very pleasant shopping experience.
Wow! Huge selection! A little on the pricy side. Bought a puck for $15, found one online for half with free shipping!
One of the better sporting good stores i have been into. Knowledgeable staff. Lots of quality product. Great place to find hockey gear. Prices are reasonable and they have deals from time to time. Places to try out hockey sticks and bats. Its my go to place for sports gear.
Horrible customer service. Trying to buy cleats, there's no sales guy to be found. Waiting for 30 minutes asked for a sales guy and still no sales person. Dick's sporting goods hands down best customer service!
They have a strange policy of security tagging my skates after sharpening, like I’m going to steal a skate sharpening! I spend so much money in this store the lack of trust seems mildly offensive.
Otherwise a great store with helpful staff
The staff here is always willing to spend the extra time needed to make sure you have the right stuff to meet your needs
Disappointing interaction with this store. I bought a new USA Baseball Standard ~$100 bat at full price for my son's upcoming season. Within a week, the aluminum cracked just above the handle during soft toss batting practice with his team- clearly a defect. I called the manufacturer and they did say that their policy was to handle warranty issues directly through them and not the store. But, in light of the equipment failure such a short time after purchase, they encouraged me to go back to the store to try to get a direct exchange so my son would not be without a bat for ~2 weeks mid season. The store manager showed no interest or flexibility in considering our request. They are willing to sell you the bat at full price but do not stand by the product. We had better service with an Easton bat quality concern through the now out of business Sports Authority. So be aware that you may be out the cost of the bat and have no functioning piece of equipment while dealing with the manufacturer and shipping items back and forth through the mail.
Highly recommend this store. Highly trained and educated sales associates. We needed Hockey and Baseball gear for my two boys. Both department associates were great and knowledgeable. We will be back
I bought two Nokona ball gloves here. They are fantastic quality. Friendly customer service as well.
The night we went, there were about 6 employees there. All of them were up at the front talking when we came in. There were other people in store also. Only one guy was helping people. All 5 other guys stood up front talking and not making any effort to help. One was actually someone in charge, as the guy who was helping us kept asking him questions. I even said in front of all of them "Dude it looks like they want you to do it all tonight. " They all laughed and thought it was funny. The woman that came in were on there own finding stuff. We noticed every guy that came in, got a greeting from one of the "stand around guys" They pretty much ignored the woman. You DON'T get the feeling of Welcome. Spend your money here!
Good to see a local hockey shop stocking other NHL team gear, and not just the local teams
Go the Rangers
