I had hired Monster several years ago to repair a leak coming through our stucco exterior and into our bathroom window. The leak has now returned and I had another contractor inspect the leak today. I had Monster come out as well, but it took them ~3 weeks and two reminders to deliver me an estimate. The new contractor informed me that the stucco used by Monster in the previous repair was not actually stucco, but a stucco patch and that no paper was laid behind the stucco as is necessary for such a repair. This is very disappointing, especially since we are experiencing a leak in the exact same spot several years later and Monster has done nothing in offering to remedy the faulty work done previously. We are now facing a repair that involves water damage on top of the original repair which Monster did and needs to be redone.

BEWARE! This company is absolutely unprofessional. We signed a contract with them in September of 2020 to complete two bathrooms in our home. We were originally told they were a couple weeks out, so we waited. After a few weeks and no follow up from them we contacted them. We asked where we were in line and were told "next, not too much longer. It should be next week. " Well.two weeks went by and no phone call from them. We followed up again left several messages and no return phone calls. My husband finally got a hold of someone and we were told some lame excuse about them not being able to work due to the air quality. Our job was indoors. We asked for a date, or we would cancel.   Do you think we got a call? Nope! We called again and when I say we I mean my husband was calling and I was calling and they were ignoring our calls. They weren't answering their phones or returning our messages. The times we did catch someone on the phone, we were told they would have the owner call us. On the day we canceled, the office lady said an email was sent to me regarding our concerns. This was a lie. I never received an email them and I checked all of my folders. Come to find out they said they could do the job in our guest bathroom, but actually they couldn't and they were going to subcontract it out and were having difficulty finding someone. O' and the owner is always out of town. Poor, poor, poor customer service.

Me and my wife hired Monster back in September of 2019 to have insulation added to our roof and it sheet rocked in. When getting quoted we were told there wouldn’t be an issue of us living in the house while they did the work (my wife worked from home) and for the first few days or so it wasn’t an issue. We were told the job would be a couple weeks. Well a couple weeks went by and then we were told by the foreman it was our fault it was taking so long because they had to work around our furniture. He didn’t want to admit anything was on their end due to their workers leaving early a couple times and leaving just the painter solo for almost half a day once or twice. Then aside from that the foreman had an abrasive attitude, he lacked general customer service skills when pressed about the time frame to finish the work. After about a month and some change the job was finished, it was shoddy work at best.not nearly worth basically $5,400.you could easily see the lines where the sheet rock is as added and it is now 10 months later and I have a small bubble on part of the sheet rock and every room they did has cracking along the edges where the sheet rock meets the walls. I contacted monster back in January to let them know the work was sub-par and starting to look worse. I was told within 2 days I would be contacted and to have the foreman and team lead come out and check to see what needed to be done to fix the situation. No one contacted me for more than two days and I had to call the office to remind them.about 3-4 days later the foreman and Derrick came to check out the house and see what needed to be done. I was told it wouldn’t be a big deal and they would have to come a different times to work room by room to fix the issues, as they were leaving the foreman told me he would contact me to schedule the first day of work.the call never came. I called and left a message with the office once after and never got a response back.

Quick to take the money, not so quick to come back and make sure the job is satisfactory.

Side note: Derrick installed a light In my livingroom and kitchen and that turned out great and he also was very communicative. The painter they had was also a very hard worker and nice.

Once the project started, they came to our house early every day. The work was done within a reasonable time and they always updated us and told us what to expect.

I honestly can only say great things about this companies performance. Their work is on point as is their pricing. Any questions one may have are answered. All concerns are addressed. And the most important indication of who they are as a business is that they care about you.

Each time we have work for them for the commercial work they get the job done in a quick manner.

I appreciate that they followed up with me on my initial inquiry. They were patient with me even though I was shopping around for quotes. Ultimately chose them for bath tub install because quote was reasonable and communication was excellent.

Monster construction

I had a lucky referral to Monster Construction. I live out of the area, but I have a family obligation to manage my 91 year old Father’s Duplex located in Midtown. When The duplex experienced a roof leak, Dereck from Monster Construction came out and coordinated with on site tenants, to evaluated the project, he took pictures and sent them to me to help me understand his evaluation. Derrick made sure the site was protected until he could return with a crew and complete the work. The tenants were happy and I was pleased with his work. When I had a vacancy and need some updating, Derrick replaced a windows, painted cabinets and walls, replaced hardware and countertops. Derrick had good communicate and kept me updated throughout the project. He was fair and easy to work with.
I will use his services again and recommend his services to others.
Thank you
