Monster Phở reviews
17 I often eat here and their Pho is the best in the area. Hands down. Their service also goes above and beyond. We go for the amazing Pho and are repeat customers for the amazing service.
My mom has a strict diet and they were more than accommodating with her requests. They were very kind and helpful. I would give more stars if I could.
It’s been a few years, but I’m glad to be back at monsterpho new location - it’s simply the cutest pho spot in the BAY! A must-visit for all you IG foodies!
I am a big spring roll girl and their rolls were so beautifully made, unlike mine -uneven and lopsided lol.
We were sad we missed their popular 24 hr beef bone pho, which is only available during the weekends. BUT their Monster Pho Combo was really good, just like how my grandma used to make it but better - don’t tell my grandma.lol
If you’re indecisive about what to order? Try their Monster Vermicelli Combo or the Monster Rice Combo and thank me later!
For desserts, we had their White Summer and Vietnamese Coffee Flan; which was delicious. Oh, don’t forget their cute merch! We couldn’t resist and got a few items. Thank you!
Love this place! Very delicious food, good prices, great staff. The owner is super nice and kind and it just generally feels like exactly the right kind of place to have in the neighborhood. We're always happy when we come here and we always say we should come more often!
Their "new" location is great - lots of space and plenty of seating.
Service is fast and friendly and it feels like a family establishment.:)
Great place to eat. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and the food is delicious and well priced.
It's like eating at a relatives place, very chill but welcoming.
Food is good but what happened to the prices here? $20 for bun and rice plate! Pho is a bit better $15. There are many other choices in the Oakland area that are much cheaper. Do not recommend
Overpriced. Service was spotty - meals all came partial and then our party had to keep asking for things like basil and jalapeños and sprouts. There are two robots that just sat there - people mostly delivered our food. Would not go again.
Imperial roles were very tasty Rice plate with pork chop was delicious. The robot servers are… more of a distraction. Ultimately, the pho broth was okay, not bad, and not amazing.
The place would probably move to five stars if they embraced a traditional, classic model for table service and ditch the robots. The appetizers sat for several moments on the robot, literally 7 feet away, before inching over to the table. Then the wonderful humans brought the pho… but no spoons… none of the fixings like basil, bean sprouts and lime. We had to ask for that. If we could go back to basics where a human is dedicated to making sure your dining experience is a well orchestrated experience… a retreat from the bustling life outside, that would be wonderful! Tech has its place, and I’m not sure it’s tableside.
Been going here for years. The beef pho with rare steak and brisket is fantastic. The owner is super friendly and always greets me when he’s there.
The man who had a cap on, (I think he's the owner), was SO polite & respectful to everyone. It was the amazing to see! & the environment is very cool like a museum. Robots & all!
Really good bahn mi and really honest and caring workers. Seems family owned. I left my cell phone there and they immediately call my friend to let me know. I appreciate the honesty and solving my problem too.very nice of them.
We went for an early lunch on Saturday and there was no wait, food was delicious, and the staff was really friendly. They were so sweet with our little one, and even gave us a bowl and spoon so he could try some pho! What more could a parent want.
We also noticed that the tables around us also bright their young children, and I understand why!
We each had the beef pho, and we will definitely be back again
Nothing great here except for the robot cart. The pho was very average and the chicken banh mi was super dry
Huge, hot, delicious bowls of pho. The owner is fantastic and takes exceptional care of his customers. I always get the rare steak basic pho with a Thai Iced Tea but I know the Monster Pho is very popular! Can't go wrong. Now with more beers on tap and a surprisingly great wine list.
When I tell you this place is the truth the food to die for the service beautiful the vibe the best I'll definitely be back
Fantastic pho with amazing people running the place; I can't wait for the parklet to be built out
The food is four stars. But the novelty and service push it to five stars. The staffs are very friendly which is a stark difference from most pho places in which service is usually impersonal. One staff even teaches a little child how to operate the robot. That’s super cute. Like that a lot!
I have never dined in. Always takeout. I love this place. The owner remembers his patrons and treats me like an old friend. The food is delicious. I often get the vermicelli noodles with fried tofu. It's good with shrimp too. So yummy.
