Montclair Hospital Medical Center reviews
15Sorry had to give one star in order to post. After being in the ER 5.5hrs waiting to be discharged with my care giver waiting in car after being rudely thrown out of ER waiting room 3 times. Then not allow to come if to give first hand account of history of the wound that is being cared for. Plus having to hear a good hour of bad jokes and needless flirting to moms in poor taste I decided to leave. I’m now picking up my discharge paperwork from medical records after being told to return to ER for them. Just a short walk from ER to main entrance on bad leg no biggy, Right? This is why I am scared to death of dealing with hospitals. Don’t even get me started on my time being admitted here. Also no bueno.
There are no extra seats for patients and their families. Have to wait outside the Hospotal even it’s cold. The staff also has bad attitude. Terrible hospital and services.
Had a colonoscopy done this morning with Dr. Mohammed Shakfeh outstanding bedside manner. And I also wanted to thank the nurses and staff for the professionalism and outstanding bedside manner as well that was provided. From the time I checked in to the time I was discharged very comforting and well taken care of. Thank you again. E. Ortegon
This hospital is ok. It's not completely bad but I would definitely look for another hospital first. I brought in a family member and they had to stay in the emergency room from 9am the whole day until they moved them to a room the following day. My family member had extreme dizziness but they didn't give them anything but an IV and a pill to take, which didn't help. They did do many test to check what it could be but nothing came up. I also wanted to give the nurse or doctor current information of my family members travels and recent fall. But all of them said that they were not medically trained for that and that they would need to talk to the doctor, how are they working there if they aren't somewhat medically trained? Someone I talked to on the phone said that my family member had already told them but when I asked my family member if they did that they said no, so the hospital staff lied to me.
Don't think I'll come back here, unless I really need too.
Poor nursing staff. The nurse is rude. She should not be working in a hospital, especially the emergency room. Front desk receptionist lack empathy and professionalism.
Vera who works in the lobby is Awesome She went beyond just being nice she reacted down my friends property I was there to pick up. So happy
My father went in for g tube replacement. They made it so hard to speak to my dad. A Dr called for my permission to do endoscopy on my dad and put the g tube back in. They told me they couldn't complete his surgery and they would call next day said my dad was fine. Next day the tell me they found my dad dead. They didn't monitor my father after the incomplete surgery and they knew he had heart issues and issues with possibly choking. Their negligence killed my father. It took 5 days for them to come up with a excuse for his death and refuse to do autopsy on my father. If the hospital asked the corner to do autopsy it'd cost us maybe $300 but a private autopsy would be 2 or 3 grand. They killed my father who was doing great before in the old folks home he was in.
Great place. Staff actually cares and treats patients like actual human beings. ER wait is long, but not as bad as other local options. If you’re in real trouble, go there first. Urgent care will send you there anyway if you have worse than a hangnail. Great hospital all around!
AWFUL HOSPITAL (L&D). Avoid a nurse named Florence like the plague. Not even sure how she still has a job. I'm not the first or 5th to complain about her, but they do nothing about her. Do not come here.
This hospital is one of the worst I have ever been to. They traumatized me by putting multiple needles in me when I was having an active panic attack and having no care for my well-being as I was alone and didn’t have anyone else to advocate for me. They did not see me for six straight hours and I laid in agony without any pain medication or any food or water. They did not even fix the issue I came in for and simply gave me a shot of antibiotics and told me to leave. Not to mention, the billing department of this hospital is absolutely atrocious and it has taken almost 8 months for me to get the bill cleared for no good reason. I called the billing department and they don’t even know what my bill is months after my services, yet I am being told my credit score will be negatively affected. Not to mention that they have called me to verify my address and couldn’t even give me the number for customer service and hung up on me. I would rather suffer than go here and seek treatment.
I visited this hospital and it was totally unacceptable. 1st if you bring your family member be prepared to sit outside in 90 degree heat. The chairs outside for people to sit in while you wait for your family members are Beyond gross. They were ripped, stained, etc. The hand Sanitizing machine outside the door had blood on it. And then a gentleman came and cleaned and all he did was vacuum the carpet outside the door. The people who checked us in were rude. I wish I could post pictures.
Went in for an emergency for my mom and they took 5 hours to attend her, beyond ridiculous people are suffering and they don’t even have the decency to be nice. Front desk people are not kind.
Nurses and doctors were great. Definitely a five star review. Nurses are very friendly and compassionate. Great job Montclair hospital
The doctors at this hospital are the rudest most inhumane I've yet to come across. The staff could use a class on people skills. I've yet to have a good experience here and cried because I did not want to come but could no longer take the pain. They treat you like your an addict first smh. I would not recommend it unless you have no choice!
This staff was extremely kind and caring. They made sure I was safe and comfortable. Dr Villegas was ver nice and extremely caring. Charge nurse jenifer cared to my every need. Nurse Morgan was very patient and understanding. All three of these people helped me get through the hardest and lonely time of my life I thank them so much and they should definitely be commended for how hard they work and how much they care for their patients
