Monterey Station Apartments, Pomona CA

The following employees are my most favorites. Montoya Hall, Benjamin Hall, and Kevin Camarena. Those three competent employees make my stay here very pleasant and enjoyable, Their service delivery in the way of Customer Service is unparalleled. Indeed, the Management can count on me to bear witness/testimonial on how living here is the best to be. My wife and I shall continue to live for as long as we see the need to do so. Please share my warmest thanks and appreciation with the three wonderful employees mentioned above. Again thank you all for everything.

Water in the kitchen was barely coming out of the faucet. Now I have a good water pressure. Thank you.

Management and the leasing office was always helpful and provided relative information for what you needed! Benjamin, like other reviews have stated, is the best property manager there is! I didn’t catch the names of the agents that helped me move out but their personalities and kindness made the whole experience amazing! I only took off one star because I had a consistent work order placed for some cosmetic repairs, and they said they were fixed but they never got repaired. I kept re-opening but after a few times I decided to repair the issues myself, nothing too difficult, just would have been helpful if it was fixed properly. Stayed in the studio unit for about 2 years and would move in again if I needed to move back to Pomona!

I had a issue with the washer making loud noises. I put in a maintenance request. They came very fast to fix the problem, Thank you do much.

Very helpful management. Benjamin was always responsive and was very professional and informative with any questions I ever had. The whole office staff including, Anthony and Montoya, have been helpful and courteous every time I called. I could tell they work hard and care about keeping everything running smoothly. It’s a large community and unfortunate when residents abuse the gates or don’t clean up after their dog. But the property is kept clean and beautiful with the pool in the B building courtyard and the water feature and gym in the A building side. I was happy to have a washer and dryer in my studio unit, with beautiful vaulted ceilings and wood floors. The units are kept very updated. Thank you for providing a safe pleasant place to live close to campus.

I went in today to see the 1 bedroom apartment it was beautiful and Kevin who helped me explain everything about the one bedroom was very helpful and explain everything thx you Kevin

I feel safer here than in a house and maintenence is pretty quick about taking care of anything that needs to be fixed!

Honestly I love it here, but what I don't like is the fact that people walk around without their dogs on a leash in the residents don't pick up after there dogs, in I also don't like the fact that people leave their trash in the hallways for days, but other then that I love it here.

If you love waking up to fire alarms for the entire building nearly every night this place is for you!

Lived here for almost a year now and like it so far, security seems to be getting tighter as well, which I definitely am glad to see

Management is horrible! Management keeps changing every year and now they do not allow visitors to park in the parking lot. They do not communicate all changes to the residents. They are finally building a gate around the lot but it’s taken months to build and it’s still not working. My car got broken into several times. They charge late fees for no acceptable reason. Live somewhere else!

Avoid at all cost! People break in, steal, and the office is soooo irresponsible. They charge way too much for gas and hot water, and the jacuzzi is always broken. The gym is also not maintained. Avoid at all cost! This place is ghetto, and I regret moving in.

Management during covid wasn't handled properly. Paying full rent price with a year of closed amenities. I loved there for 3 years as rent was cheap. The place was ok before Management changed, there was a dog park community that existed. Although it did disband due to the living conditions. It is close to downtown pomona which could be nice, but are very abundant with the homeless. This trickles into the community. Theres a homeless tent city that live behind the church on monterey ave. Because it is not gated, the homeless love roaming around breaking into cars and dumpster diving. Security has changed overall more than 5 times. My biggest disappointment was when we moved out we had an overall balance of 0. We waited for management to do a walk through to make sure the place was good but they said we were ok and we left. Only to be met 3 months later with a balance for next months rent, utility charges backing to 2 months, and additional fees for usage. I called, and met someone who said they would get back to me and handle the situation. Somehow, it never happened and i was left to call and go around into a circle with, "pay now" options.

Bryon did a great job of taking care of my maintenance request. He was thorough and very friendly.

Second time posting the review, let’s see if they’ll pay again to have it removed!

Another Update: as Muslims, we pray 5 times and we must wash almost that number each day, asides from that, I work from home. After all the leaks and damages happened the past week, I had to book myself in a hotel hoping everything will be done by the weekend. I received a call from the “so-called” management telling me my apartment will be in repair the majority of next week. Now my work and where to stay are in limbo. I asked the “so-called” management for another apartment or at least let me out of my least since it’s in unlivable conditions. All I was told is to pay for 3 months rent to leave, WHYYYY?

Updates: if you like to have a pool inside your apartment, showers all over the place not just in the bathroom, and if you prefer not to have water for days at a time, then this is the place for you.

Hot water available a few hours a day, rude staff, horrible management, loud noise until midnight! Advice find another apartment to rent!

Unbelievable, what a mess of a management. One of the apartment buildings has been out of water since early Saturday morning, today makes the 4th day. Besides the lack of knowledge and experience in repairing, the apartment is filled with water. Our electronics are damaged, the furniture is a complete waste, and yet they won’t send anyone to clean their mess!

Bryon the maintenance man is professional and fast. Get the job done in a short time. Five stars for him plus another five!

Very bad management. We lived there for about a year and we asked for so many services which they did not attend to even though we ALWAYS paid our rent on time. After we left, they charged us more money over the deposit for damages we didn’t even do, in fact those damages were there before we had even moved in. I do not recommend this apartment for you but if you do, take lots of pictures before you move in and after you move out so they don’t try and trick you like they did with us.

Since living here @ Monterey Station ALL the Maintenance Workers have done excellent work.
