14My second time ever at the pier since I was 16 years old in 1996. Be careful as there are missing parts of railing.
Cool spot for Crabbing and fishing kind of. It's a tourism site. You're just there fishing and tourist come around will be rude, rowdy, taking a ton of pictures.
Hidden treasure, great city view when you go at night, lots of parking. We tried to go crabbing here unfortunately the sea lions ate all of our bate.
Crabs steal our fish bate and sea lions steal our crab bate.hahaha.doesn't matter it is so beautiful and so fun!
We had a fare view of the Golden Gate from this point since all the others were closed or the parking was full. Anyway the bridge was cover with fog (I guess because we went there in the afternoon), but the view was still beautifull, since the bridge wasn't completely hided by it.
Awesome place for taking beautiful pictures of the Golden Gate, the SFCO-Oakland bridge and San Francisco, while seeing some birds and sea lions. Specially good for Sunrise and Sunset. There are plenty of parking spots and it is easy to get from 101
Pretty area, just north of the Golden Gate bridge. As soon as you exit the bridge on Highway 101, you take the first exit and it is right there. On a clear day, you have beautiful views of the bridge and of the San Francisco skyline. Lots of nice drive and walking areas in the immediate area
Every local interests should visit this fear. It's a simple visit and there's plenty of parking. Go out on the pier and take some pictures. You can't get too many better pictures of the Golden gate Bridge. Bay area around Fort Baker is also amazing. Have a look at the Coast Guard boats.
Great crabbing, fishing pier. The night sky is a beautiful view along with the bridge and night scene.
Free parking. Free dock. Free fishing n crabbing with permits. Bad results due to 3 fast fat seals that live under this pier. Aka they steal bait, fish, crabs, anything fisherman catch! Aka only good for birds, suntan, meditation, photos, sunrise and sunset. Federal property, so no drinking or smoking dope.
Had a great father-daughter-trip whit my youngest daughter. We went fishing with my cousin and his daughter. It was a beautiful day to teach my youngest to fish and crab off the pier.
We caught only a couple of fish. Some brown rock fish. But the crabbing was awesome. We caught 20 crabs. But only two were big enough to keep. But that was fine. She had so much fun pulling up the trap. And grabbing the little crabs and throwing them back. Refill bate box. And then dropping trap back down.
Just a nice place to teach her how to fish and crab. Teach the rules of what a keeper is. And to see the others out there, and keeping our social distancing. Had a great time. Then her and her cousin play on the beach.
There are some good photos spots out there. Seen plenty of wild life to see. From birds, fish, crabs, sea lions, and pelicans. Good time with my baby girl. She thinks we’re just fishing!
This pier has arguably the nicest view of the bay. Located just inside the bay with a close up view of the Golden gate. You can see downtown SF, the bay bridge, and alcatraz Island. It's also right by the entrance to a marina for the Coast Guard so you can watch sail boats and the coast guard go in and out.
Great spot for looking at the bridge. Or across the bay to SF. Good views and not a lot of people
Nice place for photos. Beautiful scenery of the Golden gate Bridge.
Also a good spot for crabbing. Legal year round. No Dungeness crabs can be kept.
