Morimoto Napa reviews
185 star sushi and a nice wine list. Not much more to say because it’s just excellent all around. Treat yourself and get the cuts of the best sushi you can’t find everywhere like toro or uni. Definitely eat here.
I was expecting to be wowed by the food. Nothing stood out except for the plating. I can get the same flavors of Japanese food in a regular Japanese restaurant. Hostess was also a big disappointment. I came with my mom who was in a wheelchair and we were seated at the very last table in the patio.the hostess was unwilling to grant my request for indoor seating. After repeated attempts, the manager finally allowed us to dine inside but not my psychiatric service dog which I had to leave in my car. Definitely wouldn’t be coming back to this place nor would I recommend it.
Loved the appetizers and hot dishes but the sushi was very boring and blah. The sticky ribs and tuna tacos are *chefs kiss*
WAY OVERPRICED for what you get! We were on vacation and ordered lunch... I had the 16 oz ribeye. It was good, but when I pay $100 for a steak, I expect it to be super-delicious and melt in my mouth. This ribeye wasn't nearly as good as the ribeyes I prepare at home. Additionally, we ordered fries, brussel sprouts and mushrooms for side dishes. The fries and brussel sprouts looked and tasted like they came from a frozen food bag (i.e, pre-processed, not fresh and not prepared from scratch). My wife and daughter got their entrees, while I had to wait another 10 minutes for my ribeye. Eating here was a bad experience. I recommend that you avoid this place. Don't make the same mistake we did (i.e, choosing to eat here).
Everything about this place was amazing! The food was spectacular and the drinks were incredible. If you ever stop by, ask for Grady. He was extremely helpful and was able to answer any questions our group had. 10/10 experience.
Ate at over 15 restaurants during our 9 day visit of Napa Valley. This was by far the worst of them. Food was average at best. Loud atmosphere. There are so many other choices that are better. Not worthy of the name on the sign. Avoid the Waygu Old Fashioned - disgusting
My wife brought me to this amazing restaurant for Father's Day and the food was beyond my expectations.
10/10 food
The food is amazing really high quality, but a bit expensive. Next time I’d opt for the sashimi platter and the white lily drink is so good.
10/10 service
They really paid attention to us and did prompt refills, and cleaned the table several times.
9/10
Ambiance is nice, but being outside it can get really chilly and the heaters helped but not a lot.

Not a fair review as I didn’t get sushi. My food was delicious. Service was exceptional.
Atmosphere was a little loud, but the Service was the best in Napa.
Overpriced sushi
. 001 oz of toro was $18
Was charged $10 for less than
. 01oz of fresh wasabi
Normally free in the entire sushi world.
Not sure if I was in Tokyo
Great duck fried rice
Excelent Hamachi chama.
Would not recomend sushi items at all
We loved this restaurant. Staff and service is amazing and the food definitely measures up! We had the sticky rib - yum, and the pork gyoza which were very nice. My husband had some sushi that he said was great. We also had the Angry Chicken with the confit duck fried rice. We managed to fit in dessert as well.
Highly recommend
Shout out to AMIR who was so proud of his job and life working for this restaurant for 14 years he explained how blessed he was to be there! His pride in his work showed! He bragged on the restaurant, his employer and he truly made our experience better! Big love for Amir and this amazing food, drinks, service was top notch. He shared how consistency is the key in all their restaurants. From the menu to the serving, now that is truly the key to success! We will return and thank you even more to Amir for reminding us of our blessings everyday!
Had a 7: 30 Reservation. We were sat at the sushi bar. After ten minutes of sitting, I asked the sushi chefs if it would be possible to get a drink. They advised a waitress would come shortly. Shortly thereafter, a tall blond waitress stopped by and took our drink order. We waited for ten minutes and it did not appear our drinks were coming. We stood up and walked out of the restaurant. I have no doubt the food is good.it appeared to us that the wait staff are overwhelmed. We had a bad experience and cannot recommend this restaurant.
Really good food and great service. Sit at the sushi bar and let Chef Kevin work his magic! He created an off menu roll that was the best roll we've ever had. Drinks are worth every penny. It was such a great experience that we went back a second night. Our only complaint is how loud it gets but the service and food are worth it. The desserts were amazing too!
They are not gluten free they have a gluten free menu but if you are gluten free you cannot eat any of the sushi rice so that means no sushi at a sushi restaurant
Absolutely fabulous. I had the seafood tobanyaki and the broth was so good. My wife loved the buri bop. Highly recommend!
Amazing food and service. The prices are on the high side, but you get what you pay for. The rice bowl was so good.
Thee place for Napa's take on Japanese. Beautiful outside and especially inside, life changing desert (white chocolate lime ganash with coconut flakes and POP ROCKS CANDY inside), awesome kamasu sashimi, dope tea selection, and of course that fantastic food and drink menu. Server Manny is the 'man' with his recommendations and attention to service. Worth every penny, so go go go there.
