Mosaic, San Jose CA

Happy hour: Fun vibes, not too busy, modest HH discounts, and extremely energetic server. We got some drinks and apps and they were mostly tasty but nothing to brag about. Our server though, was very animated and that made it kind of fun too. It's a good place to hang out if you're already nearby I suppose.

The food was ok. The prices are too high for the quality of food. The ambience is not very pleasing as well.

System was down and no one told us. They just let us wait and wait and wait and wait…. We must have been there for three hours because they forgot an entree. They charged us for a beverage we never received. Dine in 11/26/22

Been there twice. The first time the service was so bad the server said "next time you come in tell them my name and we'll give you a free entree", which is kind of hilarious because obviously nobody will do that and if you think a freebie is warranted just take it off the bill in the relevant sitting. Second time I went the restaurant was at *maybe* 1/4th capacity and service was so slow we sat with our bill waiting for ~20 minutes, we eventually walked up to pay at the bar. Finally, the food is basically just mid and overpriced. Not worth going here when il fornaio is down the street.

Seems like it was one of those places that was fantastic before the pandemic. Considering the price, the food was good, not great.

Consistency is key. For years this place has delivered tasty food n drinks with a chill atmosphere. Been coming here for years, this is my first review for them, but I come here for and love their fried tofu dish. It has peppers n onions mixed with it and the sauce is sweet n sticky. People are nice, and attentive even while being busy. I walked in during a Friday night, was promptly and politely helped at the bar, and was pleasantly surprised they had live music too. Single guy with a jazz guitar singing pretty darn good…. Especially the Steely Dan cover. The staff are clearly industry vets, and I’m glad they survived the ‘demic. Long live Mosaic!

The restaurant was quite full on the Friday of our visit (9/30) and understaffed. Despite this, the two servers remained pleasant and attentive with the help of a runner. Our appetizer (calamari) was perfection. The entrées (pork chop and sea bass) were delicious even though the pork chop was a bit overdone. I would return there midweek and reassess the chefs skills.

Good food, and well presented. Calling it "Asian Fusion" is a bit of a stretch though. There were a few items on the menu that had an Asian flavor to them, but it's mostly high quality American fare. Worth a visit if you are looking for an enjoyable meal within walking distance of the convention center.

Delicious food, drinks and great service such a great place for a date night or a nice dinner with family and friends. The flavor of the food is outstanding

Going on a weekday after work, the place wasn't too crowded. Server was attentive and friendly. Food and drinks were good. Prices during HH and after are reasonable.

This is one of my favorite bars in San Jose. Cap off your night with a Lychee Martini. Delicious!

Try crab fried rice, wok green beans and ginger sea bass beat expectations-OmG. Eat in dine in for fresh flavas! Asian fusion doesnt disappoint here. Glad it survived Covid.

Surprised not able to get a decent vegetarian choice. Restaurant ran out of all noodle types leaving nothing possible to have in dinner. Avoid if you can. Parking also bit costlier side and food quality doesn't justify cost of parking.

What can I say? It was a pleasant and delightful evening spent at Mosaic. My family had a great time, enjoyed the food, and were well taken care of. I would definitely go back for their sea bass!

I stayed at the Four Points for work, and dined here for dinner on 2 separate nights. Staff were wonderful. Food and drinks were both delicious. Tim and his fabulous mohawk were friendly and attentive. Even if I don't stay here again, I will come back to this restaurant.
