Our 4 year old loves it here, as do we. Everyone is always just so nice. Sushi consistently great.

Very expensive, some rolls are great some are not very good. Had to remind the staff what our order was

Service is slow and wait is very long for take out.it seemed like this place is running with very limited staff. There is no one in front to tend customers. The roll I got is very dry inside. Wouldn’t recommend

You'll savor each bite.
Albacore like butter. The Bombs may make you weep tears of joy. The whiskey is ridiculous!
Not to mention a cool decor.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years but unfortunately my last visit was terrible. Nothing to do with the food but the person who's in charge of the register was totally unprofessional. He kept me waiting for over 10 minutes when all I wanted to do was pick up my order. There was nobody else in line except me and one other customer ahead of me which he was non stop talking too for 10 minutes. Like I said the food is terrific just the new host or front door person was terrible.

This review marks the first time I’ve ever submitted our unfortunate experience at a restaurant.
We ate at Moshi Moshi last night, June 17. We were greeted and seated very quickly even though we did not have a reservation. Our many past experiences at this restaurant have been great but not this time.
We are seniors and have a not so pleasant time reading the menu on our cell phones so we kindly asked for a hard copy of the menu. We were told that they did not have one even though it’s posted in the outside window in front. We are frequent diners in SF and have never been refused a menu. All it takes is to copy a few of them to hand out upon request. There was a female server who spoke so loudly, even to customers from across the restaurant. That was annoying but OK. My hisband ordered a chicken dish with rice and onions it was awful-mushy, watery and basically unfit to serve.also with a hefty price. We explained this to our server and was told that it is an authentic Japanese dish that many favor. She did not offer a substitute, just made us feel we were wrong My husband's anticipated great meal time was extremely disappointing and we felt very awkward by this communication. After paying a very pricey tab (including tip), a nice manager type gentleman asked us how meal was and he listened to our complaints.
We felt felt let down, short changed, and it affected our entire stressful evening. We will not patronize this restaurant again.

I can’t believe Moshi Moshi is getting negative reviews. This is a long-time local sf restaurant. They have wonderful service and amazing sushi. The Yummy Yam role is a favorite along with with tuna and salmon rolls. They also make great drinks & edamame. They are great for takeout, or have a very Covid- safe outdoor eating area. I highly recommend if your in the Potrero/ Mission Bay Area. Or ordering via a delivery app if your not in the neighborhood.

I do not recommend the recently opened indoor dining here. It seems that the wait staff only caters to the patio area and somewhat forgets of your presence inside. If you can't get seated in patio or near patio I do not recommend dining here.
Last visit was not enjoyable

It was a fantastic dining experience! From the moment you walk in the door and are welcomed by the workers, to being seated and having your drink order taken. I'll never forget how well they looked after me.

I love this place. Used to frequent when I worked at the museum down the road. The food is good but the same is perfecto and nicely strong.

Decided to try this restaurant. After a ride on the muni we jumped off the train and entered Moshi Moshi.

We were greeted right a way by a friendly host. We walked in with a party of 6, and even though tables were available he said there were some reservations coming in so it would be an hour or so wait and the patio was closed.

While we were deciding what to do I decided to look around. The inside is not very big or fancy. The outdoor patio was cool but closed. See pictures.

The music was a little too loud and the acoustics were bad so very hard to hear the host, still not sure of some of the things he was trying to say. We had to have him repeat almost everything the said.

We decided to do takeout. The prices are pretty typical for most sushi places in Southern and Northern CA. There were some unique menu items and rolls. The menu was different in the way they described and listed their rolls (Standard, Americanized, etc.), more of a hassle than anything.

Spent about $130 to order 8 rolls and some appetizers. The food was fine, but nothing special or memorable. The rolls were not very big.

We got some gyoza and edamame and they were fine, just like any other placed you would get them from. Tried some avocado rolls, they were ok. The jet bunny mango roll was the best roll of the ones we were ordered. The obake, futo krispy, and caterpillar rolls were all ok.

Nothing was wrong or bad, the food was good, but just ok.

The host did say the food would be ready in 15-20 minutes, but it took about 35-40 minutes.

Tried this neighborhood restaurant for the first time. I ordered a roll, chicken&egg bowl and tempura for pickup. Service was friendly and I like the food. Oyako Don was really tasty. The only problem was that the tempura shishitos and mushrooms were too oily. The batter was soaked in oil and didn't taste right. I'll definitely give it another try soon.

This place was a complete disappointment for anyone who enjoys dining in SF. If you enjoy eating mall sushi and cold gyoza, this is your place.

I was quite astonished to find the food here so bad. I love eating out, and this place really left me feeling cheated out of a pricey meal. I never write reviews for places generally, but this one really left me to try and let others know that it isn't worth your business.

Try at your own risk, but I will never be coming back.

Oh m'gosh! Fantastic! There was nothing left. We had the chicken teriyaki dinner with miso (fabulous), a salmon salad, ahi tuna salad, and Carmel roll, veggie tempura, and asparagus. Ambience was very nice outside on the patio and still felt cozy, even though they followed strictly the covid-19 protocol. Excellent!

Our waitress treated us so kindly, I've never had customer service that was this great in SF. I wish I asked for her name. She was so amazing I wanted to befriend her or add her on Instagram.

The lamb chop appetizers were so good, we had to order a few to go.

The Sushi is amazing, they have a gluten free menu and gluten free soy sauce.

Very nice place to go to enjoy sushi or a quick bite with a beverage! Wonderful staff that greets you, friendly & accommodating. Parking can be a challenge in that area but this place is worth going! Enjoy!

Takes online reservations and has a cozy terrace outdoor dining available. Food is delicious and fresh. Warm service, great place to go!
