Finally a good espresso in San Diego! We just had a couple drinks from Ryan and they were perfect, the texture, temperature, everything. First proper espresso I’ve had since moving to San Diego 3 years ago.

We love that Mostra is Female owned and Filipino. Their Filipino heritage helps them create some unique twists on your traditional coffee.

We got the Babinka Creme Brulee and I got an Ube Late with 2 shots of espresso.

The ambiance is beautiful, minimalistic and clean. I actually love that the handwashing station is seperate from the bathroom, so you dont have to wait for the bathroom to open up to wash your hands. They also had a nice set of soap and lotion as well. Not many places even have that in their bathroom.

The service was excellent and the employees were very helpful. They definitely add to the coffee buying experience.

One Honorable mention are the pastries and food that they also sell inside. Some of the best pastries you can have in San Diego! So make sure to pair your coffee with a nice pastry.:)

I have 3 or 4 coffee shops that are closer to my house but this is still my go to in the morning. The coffee is great, the food is great, and above all (for me) the staff is wonderful. A fantastic addition to our neighborhood.

Oh my gosh! Great service and coffee. Got the Bibingka Brûlée and it was worth the $7 I paid for a 16 oz. Shout out to the 2 baristas working the AM rush on Saturday 8/19, they were both kind and working efficiently. Very unique drinks and focus on craft coffee. Mostra is top notch.

Awesome spot for unique drinks! They have crème brûlée lattes inspired by filipino desserts. Nice outdoor seating area and friendly staff.

Mostra Coffee boasts a sleek and contemporary ambiance, but it feels somewhat unremarkable in today's coffee scene. The service, however, stands out with its excellence. Regrettably, the prices are quite steep, with a small coffee costing seven dollars and a dry scone priced at 6 1/2 dollars. This resulted in a rather shocking $28 bill for just two coffees and two pastries.

I’ve been going to the original Mostra locations (4S Ranch and CMR) for about 3 years and the new Hillcrest location is awesome! It’s got a great vibe, lots of natural light, outlets if you need a place to work, and the staff are amazing as always It is a third wave shop and their mission of paying Filipino farmers living wages means prices are on the higher side, but it’s honestly well worth the money and the quality of the coffee and service is bar none compared to their more corporate counterparts.

Very much recommended!

Cute place! Was excited to have somewhere nearby that had matcha but ended up paying $8 for a cup. Not much matcha in it, you have to upgrade in order to not get pre-sweetened as well.

Quick walk from the DMV! The blueberry matcha and ube lattes were so good, and the barista was so sweet and helpful and answered all my questions!
