Motel 6 Carpinteria, CA - Santa Barbara - North reviews
12 Only one outlet in the whole room worked. Lights by the bed didnt work. Not the cleanest place we've ever stayed.
But the reason I'm leaving this review is because we were woken up by pounding on our door at midnight. We both shot up out of bed and tried asking the person what they wanted. (I've watch way too much true crime to open the door) The only reply we got was someone yelling "FRONT DESK". We called the front desk and her response was that room is supposed to be empty even though that was the room we were assigned. We confirmed our name and reservation for the room we were given. We didn't get an apology or anything, she just said 'ok' and hung up.
Seems clean, not very much room where beds are placed. Hardly any place to put cloths away. Bathroom large, wasted space in there.
We were put in an ADA room, which we did not request. Very small. Double bed. Pretty clean. Just needed a night of sleep. Adequate.
Great price given the location. Basic motel rooms but Jackie the receptionist was fantastic. Very helpful & friendly.
I just needed a place for the night! Booked it a few days before as it was the cheapest in the area, I took the Amtrak up in the morning so got to town early a little early too for checking in so that just chilled on the beach for a few hours, then I walked to the motel.
If you are fine with walking (also brought a skateboard) this place is a great budget option that is within a mile from the beach
It’s right next to 3 gas stations and a taqueria and close to some cute hiking trails too
The guy who checked me in had some off energy, I am assuming their shift was almost over, but the front desk people afterwards were so kind. Very helpful and kind.
I was put in a ADA room which I didn’t request but that seems to be a trend with the reviews. The bathroom tile seemed like a very hard tile to clean but it look like they really tried to keep it clean, but it looked like there was some moldy residue in some corners, but no cockroaches as also mentioned in a review of the room I stayed in. So it seems the previous cockroach issue is being taken care of, which is a plus. The towels seemed very small, but they still worked like towels My room was mid comfy. The bedding seemed strange, like two sheets and a light blanket sandwiched between them, but I didn’t event notice till the morning
I didn’t bring a swimsuit but the swim area looked cute.
Also they had some pretty great coffee.
If I come up here again and I’m still on a budget, or just here for the night, I will definitely probably stay here again.
My biggest complaint was that the bed wasn't very comfortable and it was loud being right off the freeway.
The office staff were very friendly and it was a clean, updated room. I would stay again if I were to visit the area.
Lakeshia is the best!
It's very professional employees,
And it's very friendly girl,
Very nice location.
Great standard motel
very quiet.
The concierge lady is nice, gave an extra towel upon arrival.
But a majority of the rooms are facing the highway that's 10 feet away from the room, so unless you're a heavy sleeper you'll be sleeping next to a Daytona 500 racing track all day and night! Super brutal
Rooms are not refurbished, very old thermostat system that spits out gross air.
No fridge in rooms like modern rooms.
The room I got, # 205 smelled horrific upon entering, as if someone took a forever #2 in here, so foul and wretched - wanted to go buy a candle to burn in there.
I don't recommend unless only option.
Came back to this location because I had a good experience during my previous stay. New manager is doing a great job running the two Motel 6's in Carpinteria.
I went to spend my rich vacation at this zika hotel and correberg provided a great service
Overall good economic motel, you won't get a fridge or microwave, and you will need to take soap and shampoo as there is none in the rooms
No working ac. The beds are rock hard, the shower head was ready to fall off, and when the neighbor flushed there toilet our shower head would leak. Only plus was the coffee they provided was good.
