Motel 6 Ventura, CA - South

I would recommend this motel 6 to all
Vacationers & business, & local residents as a getaway.

Pretty close to the freeway, so a little noisy. But, I will probably be back as it was a good location for access to the harbor and good comparable prices.

1st photo The Windows don’t slide open they are shut closed, I like normal natural fresh air not a.c fake air 2nd pic, the beds have no night stands so u cannot lay down while placing a drink or phone next to you 3rd pic they don’t have update usb plugs to charge you’re phone u need to have your own charger box, I was hearing people standing outside near the stairs being loud, terrible experience and will not be going here at all only positive review is the staff was super nice and helpful but other than that it was a nightmare

It's bit far from downtown, and road is quite old, have to go long way to make U turn. You have to deposit your ID to use hair dryer or shampoo, and only microwave in front of the office, not each rooms. Since located right next to the road, noisy at nights.

I had reserved a room for my family (2 children) and I paid for the one with free cigarettes and when I checked in the lady at the reception told me that she only had one in the smoking area and that the room smelled of cigarettes that she had no more. That because they are giving the room to how people are arriving. And since we came from afar driving and we wanted to get to rest we entered the room and indeed it smelled super strong of cigarettes. The truth is that it hurts me that they charge you more for a room free of cigarettes and when you arrive they give you a stinky cigarette. I woke up with a horrible headache and my clothes and those of my children and also suitcases smelling of cigarettes. We had a bad stay at the motel… the only good thing was that the beds were clean…

Room was clean and enjoyed our stay definitely will be coming back. Ashley in the front desk was very helpful easy and fast check in.

During late check-in they had some sort of exceptionally loud drilling going on due to an emergency plumbing issue. A man came down and complained and they didn't bother to offer to move him. I asked for a room very far away from the drilling and was given what I asked for. The room I was assigned was quiet. The Ac did not work well and kept turning off and on even though it was not on auto. Clean? Eh. Sheets appeared clean, so that's always good. Shower pressure was on the weak side.couldn't stay another night because it just wants worth the poor water pressure. PROS: there is a very small dog park on site and ample parking. Did not notice any homeless.

The place and the staff are nice, they serve you very courteously, they are very professional, as well as all the cleaning staff, they are also super friendly. Personally, I love staying at this hotel.

I just wish they had a microwave in the room, and a little noisy, but very clean and good price.

This location is incredibly loud. The freeway noise is barely reduced by the windows and doors, you can hear everything from the rooms next door and above, and even the air conditioner made a racket. I am a pretty good sleeper, but even I had trouble galling and staying asleep.

This is the best 6 has to offer. And the Wonderful and Beautiful receptionist, her name is Kathy name tag read Kathryn.

They cancelled our paid reservation, at the hotel lobby. I had even called and messaged beforehand that our room was reserved and successfully booked.

I had to find and pay out of pocket the same night at another place. Terrible experience. 0/10.

Jeff an Kathy are extremely good with customer service an accommodate me when I have 2 different booking every week all the staff is cool an gen. Manager aswell excellent service an rooms are very clean beds are awesome

Room was clean and everything functioned well. Jacuzzi was awesome needed after the strawberry festival LOL
Refrigerator and microwave worked great. There was no room cleaning but another set of towels were provided when we requested.

For motel 6 it is one of the betters I've stay in an the handicap rooms very clean come with built in shower very pet even though we didn't bring ours only the location let's it down cuz a lot construction that's going on in the area other that very nice

It was a great experience. The maintenance staff were very professional. As well as the front desk staff. Definitely will stay again.

I would just like to say that I rarely write reviews, especially for hotel stays.but motel 6 Johnson drive has gone above and beyond with everything from their friendly helpful staff (Kathy u are amazing!) to their mini fridge in each room (you're listening to us!). I've probably stayed in a dozen different rooms here and every one has been clean & comfortable. The management has been professional, yet understanding, thru COVID, flooding, and other crisis situations we have all experienced over the past couple years.when I come here, it's like coming home.keep up the good work motel 6 south ventura, you have hit the mark and I will be a loyal customer here always.

Yeah the lady that took care of me was very nice but she messed up on my bill could not get it figured out and then she gave me a room and I walked in on in somebody the room was being occupied and that was very embarrassing and the second time she gave me a room and everything was fine
