I have been seeing Dr. Fei for PT and pelvic floor therapy during my pregnancy and now postpartum. Fei is tremendously knowledgeable, so kind, and makes me feel so comfortable, especially with the more sensitive stuff. She addresses all my needs and listens intently. I truly believe working with her during my pregnancy helped my labor and postpartum recovery go smoothly. I’m so glad my OB recommended her!

2021-22 Moti therapy was very effective, caring, with great therapists for one hour. The therapists were exceptional.
Unfortunately, I had to go back for therapy again this year with new surgery. Therapists have changed. Cold and impersonal atmosphere, service time decreased to 45 minutes. To be honest, all these months, same basic few exercises that we all do at home. Very impersonal. Disappointed and quit.

Fei at MOTI is phenomenal. Patient, caring, and collaborative throughout the PT process. Highly recommend.

I've successfully recovered from two soccer-related injuries (torn achilles and, later, a sports hernia) with the help of the lovely folks at MOTI Los Feliz. I joke with friends that MOTI is my happy place. It is truly a joy to go in and get healthy and strong with their staff. I've worked with Dr. Aimee Winston, Dr. Rhoda Bea Hernando, and Dr. Fei Zhang at the Los Feliz location and they are all fantastic PTs - deeply knowledgable, encouraging, and personable. The aides are also excellent and their front desk staff is maybe the best of any medical office I've visited. Can't recommend this place enough.

The MOTI team are all pros, and my experience with Dr. Jen Nguyen was outstanding. She always makes the time to listen and tune her focus and the PT program to your needs - adapting regularly to build on success and drive further progress or circle back where needed. She also brings such a good spirit to every session even as she needs to move from patient to patient quickly and smoothly. The supporting team at MOTI is all great, and I am grateful for all the progress in recovering from my MCL sprain + Meniscus tear without surgery. Thank you, Team MOTI!

When I first saw Dr. Rhoda at Moti last year, I had very limited things I could do with my right arm due to an elbow injury. I couldn't shoot a basketball, do workout classes or even extend my arm all the way without feeling pain. It was even hard for me to do normal things around the house like putting laundry in the dryer without shooting pains. After a month or so of therapy with Dr. Rhoda, I didn't have shooting pain anymore, and I was able to start doing more exercises and movements with my arm. A year later after on and off sessions, I'm completely back to normal. I'm back to playing basketball and can do every exercise in my HIIT classes without any modifications. Dr. Rhoda was great to work with throughout this entire process. She was always quick to figure out what was going on, thoroughly explained to me what was happening in my arm and always gave me great exercises and stretches to follow up with. The entire staff is also great at Moti, from Dr. Rhoda to the front desk to all the trainers. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Moti is definitely the best Physical therapy clinic I've ever been to. I hope to not have anymore injuries, but if I do, I'd know I'll be in good hands at Moti.

Nickon was great! I felt pain reduction immediately and have been able to find full recovery.

I was interested in getting physical therapy here but Moti refused to tell me what my out-of-pocket costs would be despite providing them with my insurance plan.

I have been seeing Dr. Lindsey Brunner for a few months now for physical therapy/personal training for some spine issues. She is excellent- knowledgable, patient, and kind. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need.

MOTI has been an awesome experience! I worked with both Dr. Ari Basquet and Dr. Derek Nishikawa at the Highland Park location for separate injuries, one from rock climbing/wrist/hand related, and the other for an ankle sprain. The doctors and aides here are respectful, professional, super attentive, supportive, and genuinely listen to their patients.

They're really good about focusing on your goals (Why did you come to PT? How do you want to improve?), and help push you to get stronger. Not only do they focus on the injured area, but they also help you strengthen the surrounding muscles and look at any structural imbalances so that you have a better foundation to prevent future injury. I also learned a ton about the different tendons/muscles/and bones that work together at my joints.

Visits are 1-2x per week for ~1 hour, you work with your doctor for 30 min and then do strengthening exercises with an aide for the remaining time. Most of the exercises they teach you use a resistance band or a single dumbbell and can usually be modified to do at home, even when you're done with the program. They work on doing small progressions over time, so it has been really cool to look back and see how strong I've become!

One of the most beneficial takeaways of Moti is that the doctors really want you to come out of physical therapy with a better understanding of your body, how to prevent further injury, and what to do if you do become reinjured. Being able to recognize why and where you're hurting is a skill and is the first step to recovery!
