French Restaurant Moulin reviews
19It gets very crowded at lunch time, so expect a line. High quality and fresh ingredients in their chicken pesto sandwich, which was pretty filling. This is probably the best classic chocolate croissant I've had in a long time. It's a bit on the pricey side but a great cafe, and I will definitely go back.
We had a delicious breakfast and everyone's food was great. The crepe complete had a crunchy cheese outer coating and was great. The omelets, fruit and yogurt and pastries were excellent. Service was friendly and prompt. We sat outside but it's right next to PCH so car noise and fumes were present. There is a small number of indoor tables. There's a small, free parking lot for customers.
We have been going to Moulin in Dana Point just for their French Onion soup. The last three times, they have served with only about 1/2 the amount of melted cheese.
A quaint corner restaurant located on a busy intersection of Monarch Beach. Outdoor dining is limited but fluid. One must order inside and your order arrives is wait staff in a reasonable time. Consider the restaurant more as a take out than a physical traditional restaurant. Menu is limited but good. Food is prepared well and tasty. Staff is cordial, polite and friendly.
Disgusting coffee and even worse customer service. Rude cashier who can’t answer simple questions like what does this drink contain what does this sandwich contain.
A surprise french treat right on PCH and just a walk from Salt Creek Beach. Very authentic French fare with a fun selection of your favorite biscuits and treats for the kids.
Order inside and wait for your name to be called for any hot beverages or get an order number for plates and your food will be delivered to your table.
The one thing that knocked this place out of the 5 star rank was that after ordering a Cappuccino that I was looking forward to relishing in the sunny terrace, it was handed to me in a skimpy paper cup.
Not only not ecological but a stunning fail after working so hard at the presentation on every other element of this cafe. Stunning.
Newly renovated, reminds me of typical French cafes in Paris.
The croissant are fresh. Sandwiches tasty and drinks refreshing. Indoor and outdoor seating is available and comfortable.
I always tell myself to come back again more often.
Would recommend it if you’re in the mood for a quick tasty meal.
Food was great. Locations is awesome and service was also great. My friends crepe was a little too firm. Couldn't cut it with a fork but tasted great.
The portion are a bit small but I still love this place. La Croque Madam is to die for, the crepes are wonderful
Line up! Try this restaurant on the weekdays. Weekends it's super busy, then service and food quality suffer.
The staff is unwelcoming, additionally their kitchen closes 30 minutes before their posted closing time.
I had the most delicious little snack here the other day. Most people might go for the gorgeous looking pastry but I wanted a little something to tide me over til dinner. They reccomended this small sausage which was like a "pig in a blanket" but bigger with light flaky exterior and sausage inside
It was delicious, easy to eat on the run in the car without making a mess. I also had their salmon sandwich one day, very nice. So my first 2 visits were a success.
The one I visit in Dana Point has a convenient parking lot.
Can't complain about servers or the food.
But the man (30-40) up front is one of the rudest people ESPECIALLY if you dont speak FRENCH.its unfortunate when all the rest of the people that work there are amazingly pleasant.
They figured it out! Had great coffee this morning - in ceramic mugs. The shop struggled with its original opening and pandemic staffing issues. So happy to have a Parisian cafe in the neighborhood.
It's a pleasant place with French motifs near the ocean.
Specializes in breakfast and late breakfast until 3 p.m.
The portions are medium-sized, but it's quite sufficient.
They have pancakes (crepes), variations of omelets with and without meat, salads, fruit salads, and tasty toasts. There's a wide selection of pastries, including cakes, small slices of cakes, various rolls, croissants, and more.
Some dishes may not surprise you, but they will definitely make your breakfast enjoyable. Inside, they also have cookies from other countries in beautiful boxes.
Moulin feels like a little slice of France. The food is extremely tasty and fresh. They make just about everything in house and have amazing pastries. The atmosphere is eclectic with vintage French signs and decorations. They have a great selection of French wines which you can buy by the glass or bottle. I also love their cappuccinos.
This is a great place. I usually get the chicken omelette and they don't disappoint. However, the rest of what is available is just over the top incredible.
Dirty place. They not even able to clean the tables and floor. I paid $50 for 2 simple croissants. No parking.
Similar to their other location in Costa Mesa or Newport beach, this small French restaurant/patisserie has quick easy to see selections from baguettes to the tiny pastries they offer. Limited seating inside but outside seating is nice as its best near the coast
