Mountain Thrift Shoppe reviews
15I Love it here! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. I can find good quality goods for a fair price. Too bad they do not sell electronics, I have been looking for a vinyl record player, but they do sell Records so that's a plus!
I have been trying to make this shop my favorite little thrift store for the last year, but I am so done with this place. The owners of this "thrift shop" should be embarrassed at how they price their items. So many things are priced for what the owners think they're worth instead of what the right price is to sell them quickly to support their charities.like they are trying to sell them as new or used on eBay or Amazon. $50 for old shoes, $60 for a purse, some dvds are $3, some are $10+. The costume jewelry is all over the place. They have a pen in their glass case listed for $50! YOU GET THIS STUFF FOR FREE! If you wanted to run a retail store then do that but this is supposed to be a charity store where you are not only helping out local charities but the people in the community who are looking for low priced items. All the workers here are volunteers, so they're not even paying them. This store doesn't feel like a charity store, it feels like greed.
Way overpriced for free stuff they receive use t-shirt should cost a dollar versus the $10 they want that you can buy a brand new one at the store.
Love this place! Great finds- would get 5 stars if they didn't have cats roaming around.
Went in with my two kids, was working really hard to keep them in line as they are rambunctious toddlers. Made them hold my hand and such, so we finally make it to the little bins of toys and they sat down quietly looking through the toys and this old lady comes out from the back and stares at me for a second then says “the people who do the toys don’t like them being played with and out so can you make them stop and put them back” I immediately complied and my kids put them away no issue, but honestly it was really discouraging as a young mom, to be working really hard to teach my kids to behave in a store, and even when they are, to be critiqued like that by someone who clearly doesn’t remember what it’s like to have kids. Since when are kids not allowed to look at toys in a store? How are they supposed to know what toy they want if they can’t look at them and pick one out?
All of their sales go directly to local charities on the mountain. Their merchandise is always excellent. It certainly is great finding quality items for Thrift store prices. The majority of time. I don't leave without finding something that I may need or even want. Sometimes I have even found brand new merchandise & beautiful antiques.it's definitely a treasure hunt every time I shop there? ️
Let's not forget, they are right next door to Jensen's Specialty Market with Starbucks inside & a wonderful Deli in the back. What a fun way to spend the day
Not a very good thrift store. To many people working there thinking everything they have is worth so much ; (
I love this little gem of a spot, I always find inspiration on beyond excellent choices of goods. A+ folks.
Very clean and organized place, with hundred and hundred of items. At the entrance they write down your name, take your temperature, and very politely ask you to sanitize your hands. They also cap the attendance to 18 people between customers and volunteers.
Prices are really good. And who can beat their $4.00 X 4 books - including hardcovers and coffee table ones? I'm coming back for sure!
Prices are okay kinda hight for 2nd hand free for them, but they do seem to put nice stuff on shelve
Fair price on most items, and they have lots of quality goods to sell. Volunteers are very helpful and kind
I could spend hours here. Amazing! Great prices. All the money goes to foundations that help the comminuty! The wonderful Women and Men that work there are Volunteers. Fantastic shopping experience
Friendly helpful staff, and quality goods at yard sale prices. It doesn't get better than this for thrifters!
Our favorite thrift store on the mountain. The prices are very reasonable. Great place to shop for kitchen items if you're just getting started, the books were very inexpensive, too. And sometimes you come across some real treasures. The volunteers who work there are very nice. Sometimes they place free items outside their door.
