Mountain View Public Library

This is one of my favorite places to visit in mountain view on weekends. Great book selection great kids area and a nice park outside. When my daughter was younger we used to bring her frequently to the mother goose storytelling time on weekends. The process for borrowing and returning books is super convenient. The library also organizes several events of interest to various communities.

Perfect, clean, nice, friendly - I can send compliments indefinitely to this place. Shelter during bad weather and quiet office for reading and studying. I love it.

Good resources. Staffs were calm, knowledgeable and helpful. Had good books that were in good condition. Always clean and well-kept.

The staff is very knowledgeable and always cheerful and accommodating. I have yet to ask a question that they could not answer.
My computer skills are low. The people here are always helpful and patient.
I had not thought of it before, but this may be the best over all library I have visited.

The service here is outstanding, they are comforting, patient, and knowledgeable. The image inside as well as the outside of this place inspires one to dream and strive for self improvement. Educating an almost 3 year old (2 years 8 months) is difficult, however the resources here has helped to advance math understanding, octagon identification, other geometric shapes, and reading with playful excitement. A safe, clean, welcoming, & knowledge filled Kingdom!

Great collection of books, movies and music. Sufficient number of desks and reading rooms. Excellent section for children, which is newly renovated.

We feel so lucky to live in a town with such an excellent local library.
It is so family friendly, so student friendly, so resident friendly.
Facility is always clean, bright, and the staff friendly.
Lots of wonderful events for all ages.
The children librarians, are especially to be commended, for their friendliness, cheerfulness, and one of the best run children programs.
The new children library is spacious and beautiful.

Use to stay across the street, and it is a wonderful library. Was a regular till the move to East Bay. Whenever I come this side, I do not miss a chance to spend some reading time here!

This is a huge and great library. The staff is very nice. People are pretty quiet as well and it seems like a good place to get some work done. Visit the notices board for upcoming events!

Great library! Easy checkout and a wide selection of books for all ages. Helpful and kind librarians working there to help in your searches.

Excellent. Free books, dvds and nice collection of movies.
My wife volunteers there. Reception staff may or may not be friendly depending on the time of the day.

- Charge exorbitant late fees and hold-cancellation fees. Especially compared to libraries in SF.

Love this library for its desk spaces & media section. Front desk is friendly & fast - I got my new library card within minutes. Have plenty of parking spaces & free WiFi. Covered drinks are allowed.

Great library for reading quietly or working/studying on your laptop. There's a park right next door where you can read outside. Applying for a library card is really easy too. Just keep in mind that the library opens late on Sunday.

Has all the services you'd expect (wifi/computer access, printing) and a decent selection of books. It also has nice self-checkout machines. Clearly a well funded library!

Fantastic library. Non-permanent residents can still check out two books. Postcard verification can be sent to your temporary residence. Permanent residence can check out 100 items at a time. Very friendly and attentive staff. Additionally lots of resources and events!

One of the nicest libraries in the bay area.
Huge collection of books. Quiet area for reader's. Well maintained restrooms. Polite staff. And a nice garden near by. I see lot of kids enjoying their weekend with their parents here.
