Located inside the grocery store. Great place to pickup both grocery n food. It’s a lil over priced.

We had punugulu, egg puff, pakodi, onion samosa. All the food was so fresh.
We love the honey cake.

This is Indian restaurant inside Indian grocery store Namaste Plaza. While the grocery store is good, the restaurant is a disappointment, with not a single vegan option. I understand about biryanis as a lot add ghee, but not even the curries. If you are vegan, stay away from this place

Tried it on Friday night opening day. It was a BOGO offer. Quantity was good. It is the same Biryani for all items. Tried the spl boneless chicken and chili gobi biryanis both were good taste a good rating of 7out of 10. Tried the same items on Sunday. They were a big disappointment. Food was cold the chicken and gobi tasted different. The Biryani taste was different. They chicken and gobi portions were less I would give it a rating of 3 out 10 today. May be they were running out of stuff or the staff extremely tired as it was the 3 rd day after opening and it showed. I will give them a benefit of doubt and try again. As it can happen during opening. Hopefully they can focus on quality and doing food in batches to maintain quality and freshness. Maintain portion sizes and taste by standardizing the recipes. I want these guys to do well. We need some good Indian restaurants in San Diego.

Fast forward updated again on November 4 th. The chef was sick so no appetizers today. I totally understand. Things do happen.
The biryani was ice cold. The chili gobi for biryani was fried beyond recognition and had an extremely thick layer of flour. Sad to see this restaurant go down so fast.

Gobi chilli biryani is a waste of money. Never ate Gobi this bad, it was burnt and dried, like charcoal. Maybe just biryani is just ok to eat, not so great.

Pani puri is my favorite here. It's the best one I have ever tasted all over San Diego. I will definitely recommend it.

I came in today and asked for a very spicy curry that was vegetarian. The cashier recommended the paneer tikka masala. There was 0 heat to this whatsoever very disappointed.

Ordered a take out of chilli gobi briyani was average in taste. Got Just saffron flavored cooked basmati rice mixed with chilli gobi. Once took out onion pakora and had pani poori they were reasonably good in taste so 3 stars for these quick bites. Briyani didn't match my expectations. Will be good if they could improve.

I absolutely love their fry piece biryani and honestly I drool over it everytime I get hungry. Besides fry piece biryani they have wide variety of other delicacies which do not disappoint at all. Anyone craving for biryani in San Diego, I highly recommend this place to satisfy your craving!

I'm afraid to say that I don't feel like this store is gonna last too long!
Theres' just too many issues with this store and its' staff.
1. These past 4 months I've been to the store more than a few times and I especially like to buy the Wagh Bakri box of teabags (the orange colored box of 100 teabags) and everytime the staff tells me to come back next week as well as to call them. Well, I go there every few weeks as well as calling them and still no Wagh Bakri teabags. Why don't they just tell me that they will never stock it instead of lying all the time. Their price was always good, at $4.99/box compared to $6.99 at Miramar Cash & Carry.
2. Everytime I order Samosas to go, they tell me to wait atleast 15 minutes. Before this new management took over Namaste Plaza, they always used to have ready made samosas on the counter as well as other puffs. Samosas are such a staple snack for us indians that fastfood stores and restaurants always have them ready when you place an order. Furthermore, they never have the green (coriander) chutney to go with the samosas which is just ridiculous! Every other indian place that I buy samosas from always give me the green & tamarind chutneys. Today when I got an order of samosas, the tamarind chutney had mold in it! Even for the other baked puffs, they never give give any chutneys/sauces!
3. Today, when I got my to-go order of mango lassi, a chicken uff and an order of samosas, the cost was $13.98 and I gave the teller $14 and she look around her till for the 2 cents change that I should get back and she didn't have any pennies so she didn't give me back my change and never said anything like "I'm sorry I don't have 2 cents for you". Ofcourse, 2 cents is not gonna break me but the courtesy and respect for the customer is totally missing!
4. Everytime I've been in this store, typically between 2pm and 4pm, the manager is always having his long lunch-break sitting at one of the tables there and none of their staff ever go out of their way to greet the customers.
5. Except for the bananas, all their other fruits I find to be old and in bad shape. Even their fresh ginger isn't any good anymore!
6. My final frustration with this store is that their overhead menu has items that are over 90% of southern indian origin and being a north indian, I don't understand what all the items are. A good manager would atleast write in plain english what the ingredients in those dishes are, but no, they're too proud of themselves.

I'm done with this store and will take my business to Miramar Cash & Carry as well as Akshar Groceries.

Best for a to go. They have a lot of varieties of biriyani. We had Vijayawada biriyani and the most SPICY biriyani. Love it. As long as they keep the same price, it’s value for money. It beats all their competitors around Mira Mesa.

Excellent biryani, starters and desserts. They have awesome cakes with unique flavors as well. I did take out multiple times and it’s always delicious, we also did catering for our gender reveal function and ordered butterscotch cake and it was amazing. Recommended.
