Mr Gil’s and Grill, Modesto CA

A while back a good friend gave us a taste of one of the breads from this shop and I couldn't possibly have it enough of it. Next time I passed through the valley I made sure to stop by and pick some up. While I just stopped by for the bread, I couldn't resist leaving without the freshest, and dare I say most exotic Afghan pistachios, pine nuts, raisins, and much more. This shop rivals top Afghan specialty stores in the Bay Area. It and makes me wish I lived closer to Modesto.

Went in late in a busy weekend looking for some naan and boulani, even thou the were out and done they made one for me in 15 mins just so i dont leave empty handed. Thank you so much for the delicious food will surely come back for more and try out other grilled/backed stuff for sure!

Excellent customer service. They have hallal foods such us, Kabab, Kabuli Palaw (rice), Bolani, pizza, Afghan fresh bread, ice cream, fresh meat and season fresh fruit and lots of groceries.

Great customer service and the people who are working there are awesome, especially brother Baktash is a very nice person

Fine location for quality Afghani food. Arrived at seven, it wasn't crowded. I will be back with my coworkers. It has a cool interior.

I take my family to this lovely place quite a bit! This is my favorite restaurant to eat. I go there frequently. The food is excellent, the staff is polite and the rates are decent. I like eating in this spot for a decent meal.

My top place for quality american food. This place is absolutely one of my favorites. The staff was very sociable and kind. This place has a cool feel to it. Makes me feel like I am back in Tucson.

My favorite spot for afghani food. The bill was well within reason for the quality. Atmosphere is similar to a place in Columbus I loved.
