Mr. Q Restauran, Atascadero CA

Without a doubt, best fusion food in North County. Could tell who the owner is immediately from the service, definitely someone who cares about the whole package. Will be recommending in the future

I have never been more impressed with a restaurant than I was at Don Q's. If you are looking for a Mexican Food Restaurant that isn't like any other, this is your destination. The moment you step foot in Don Q's you know you found something special. The customer service was unlike anything I've ever experienced. The food was almost indescribable it was so delicious, while at the same time was presented like a work of art. I just found my new home away from home.

I've gotten take out here multiple times and it's always wonderful. The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious. I've recommended it to multiple people and am excited they will have a great new location soon.

The Mango Passion Fruit Ceviche was excellent. Very fresh and flavorful. The Asombroso Sopes and El Patron Chile Relleno were also excellent. We chose the poblano soup with our entrees and loved it. Large portions. The house lime margaritas were perfect. Service was very good. Highly recommend.

The place is tucked away off the street but very delicious and great staff. The outdoor patio was spacious and comfortable in the evening.

We were looking forward to trying this restaurant having heard good reviews from friends. The menu is very ambitious with great descriptions of the food items. We each ordered something different. It took a very long time (Almost one hour) for the food to arrive even though the restaurant was not busy. We each agreed that we would have enjoyed our meals more if the dishes did not have so much salt in them. Just about the saltiest food I have experienced in any restaurant. I think the salt totally ruined any flavors that might have been present. The wait staff was friendly but not particularly knowledgeable about the product.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but holy moly this place is awesome. Fantastic food and a nice modern atmosphere.

This is a great place to have mexican fusion food!

They have good options for vegetarians. We ordered the vegetarian chille relleno and it was one of the best I’ve had in the US. It was breaded and fried to perfection, and the sauce was incredibly tasty. We shared it between the two of us.

We also paired this with a poblano soup and some chips and salsa, each of which were excellent!

We went there in at 8: 52pm and andreas was just about to turn the closed sign when we entered. She was kind and made sure our needs were met and provided us hot water upon request.

This place has a clean restroom as well- great especially if you’re on a long drive from NorCal.

DonQ had exceptional California/Mexican Fusion food. I wasn’t expecting too much from it since we entered very close to the closing time (around 8: 51pm). So when we called them, they were very open to it and mentioned as long as we enter before 9pm, they won’t deny service for us (was pleasantly surprised by this given how most of the restaurants operate in the US).

- Chips and Salsa: Salsa was really good. I think it was called Jalapeno Cream salsa, and had a very unique taste to it. Asked for extras and the offered more without any hesitation:)

- Vegan Chile Relleno: this item was outstanding! There was something very special and unique about the taste. It was just perfect! The cooked the chilli and the sauce very well.

- Poblano Soup: Comes with the Chile Relleno, and to my pleasant surprise, even the soup here was extremely unique and tasty!

Andrea was the one who served us and she did an amazing job with everything.

We stopped here after reading the good reviews and it was even better than we expected. It feels like a family restaurant with a modern twist. It’s obvious that they take pride in their food. I can’t wait to go back.

We were recommended to try out Don Q's. It's a little out of the way, but a worthwhile stop. They were really friendly and quick, the food was tasty and well priced. It was a nice and comfortable atmosphere too.
