Mr. Taco is very friendly and clean place to go at any time of the day. Today my mom ordered menudo and I ordered a bacon, egg, and bean breakfast burrito. Great time eating with my mother.
Going to start off by saying this isn't my first visit. I've been 4 times now and I feel like I have to save everyone else from wasting thier money here. I try to give the benefit of the doubt but after 4 try's my opinion is cemented, 1. WAY overpriced, 2. Flavorless food 3.stale taco shells 4. The Mexican coke (12oz not liter) that they charge nearly $5 for isn't even cold, they said the machine broke but 3 weeks later it's still not cold. Honestly point blank it's the worst taco shop I've been to in San Diego county and I was born and raised here, I know my way around Mexican food and this place is honestly just taking peoples money and serving them dog food. $18 for 4 rolled tacos I couldn't taste and warm coke. Shameful really.
Pollo asado was the worst I have ever had. I don’t know who was preparing the chicken, but cutting in the cartilage with the meat was horrible!
I’ve been eating here as long as I can remember. Some of the best burritos and enchiladas you can get around CSUSM.
Large menu, clean and busy at lunch hour, but friendly staff with quick service. Great bean tostada that I'll be going back for.
I moved out of state 3 plus years ago but when I'm back in town this is my family's first stop.
Great food and great staff members are always friendly and with smiles.
They wanted $0.50 extra per salsa. Will NOT be coming back. Other place are free stop trying to rip off your regulars
Iv'e been going here for I'm not kidding every other day for a full year and the staff is so rude I can't believe they don't even acknowledge me after how much money I have giving them.the last week was my last time ever going here I asked for an extra salsa and the lady ive seen for years rolled her eyes they charge so much and get so mad if u ask for extra salsa which is funny cuz it isn't even good
I ordered the machaca and egg burrito. It was mainly eggs and very little machaca. Do not recommend. Very disappointed. Burrito lacked flavor.
One of my fav Mexican places, tacos are delish and the green tomatillo salsa is drinkable it’s so good. Rarely have photos because I devour the food once it arrives! If you’re in a hurry order ahead and pick up at take out window. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Strawberry filled churro is a tasty treat to finish the meal too!

Greatest California Burrito in San Diego. Good people. Good food. Fast. Precise. Yummy horchata.
They don't respect vegetarians. I found meat in my veggie burrito. I used to order another burrito but switched to the veggie after finding meat more than 3 times. This is the last straw I'm never eating here again. If you are vegetarian avoid this place. I'm sure you'll find meat in one of your burritos eventually.
