Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant reviews
21The park needed more places opened for drinks. 45 to 1 HR. Wait just to buy a bottle of water. Also the park looked and felt as busy as it was pre Covid. 1hr and 45min to get on rides and it's Tuesday. One nice thing, the park look beautiful. Good job on fixing the place up.
Nice service and great food. The portion is so big that a big boy like me can't finish all. Love the fried chicken and the bread and jam.
Mrs Knott's chicken dinner at Knott's Berry farm in the marketplace is always amazing! I always get the full chicken white dinner meal and it's as wonderful as it's ever been over the last 20 years. It comes with a side of either rhubarb or corn and you get mashed potatoes and a soup with a salad. You pair that with their boysenberry punch and free biscuits and jam and it's a meal made in heaven. If you're anywhere near Knott's Berry farm you have to check out Mrs Knott's chicken dinner restaurant!
I haven't been to this restaurant since 2005, so I was super excited to be here. It was a busy night, Christmas week. I imagine the food was great when it was first plated, I ordered the traditional fried chicken dinner @ $21.95. What i received was warm-ish chicken, needing salt, cold, steamed cabbage, and mashed potatoes that were not only cold, but lumpy. The chicken noodle soup, however, was EXCELLENT, along with the hot biscuits. I'll give this place one more shot sometime next year in the off season.
Omg! This place lives up to it's reputation! The chicken dinner is scrumptious and the Boysenberry pie is bursting with fresh berries. Absolutely delicious!
I enjoyed this landmark but felt the food was just OK, chicken dumplings with the chichen soup, waiting for the check seemed over extended, 15+ minutes.
Omg, I've never seen so many angry customers in my life. We decided to go right before the holidays and apparently a few people decided to call out, which turned this place into utter madness. Everything came late, the good itself was. Edible? I'm not sure how you describe the most disappointing experience of my life. For the price we were expecting better, and they knew it, because our sodas were free. Yay. Only took an hour to get our food -_- Which just ate into our time at Knotts.:/ So terrible. Every table around us had disappointed guests, a vet next to us changed his order twice because they kept getting it wrong, at the end he didn't eat anything, that was after an hour. Just ridiculous. Oh but free sodas. -_-
It was a cold day and was really excited for the fried chicken. We had family dinner $21/person. Chicken soup came and it was lukewarm - disappointed. Then chicken came and it was also lukewarm. Did not taste crispy. I had one piece and I was done, as if the chicken had been sitting out for a long time. I wanted to get my money back but I was with a bigger group and didn't want to make a scene. Even churches chicken has better chicken and I don't like churches chicken.
Larger pieces than I remember and still delicious. Lots of gravy.
Could not order food-to-go from restaurant. Had to walk next door but food came hot and faster than from sit-down restaurant.
Free parking for two hours so bring parking receipt and get it stamped.
Very slow service. Was not told it would be 30 min just for two 3 piece meals. When asked manager did offer extra chicken for our wait. Customer service besides the wait was very good.
Prices are CRAZY OMG Drink and a bottle of water 5.00$ small. 6.00 for tasteless french fries only.
Yum. Just as I remember from 16 years ago. So much food and so well priced! Missing the pie already
Always great food and service! We always enjoy the boysenberry sauce they give you with the fresh baked biscuits.
Chicken dinner is wonderful. I love the flavor of the chicken, and it was so moist. Took some home. Had it two days later, and it was still great. Loved everything. The cabbage is always my favorite. And of course, the boysenberry pie.
I was here in August but they have a restaurant and also next door to take out. So I went to take out and even though they messed up my desert and gave me a the wrong item their fried chicken is SOOOOO GOOOD! OM GOSH! Juicy and tender and delicious. If your ever in LA you must go here and taste their fried chicken. If ever I am in LA again this will be one of my MUST DO if I am there again. Yum!
Honestly you should get the chicken and there is a half a pound chicken with mash potatoes and corn for 21.99 mmmm worth it and you get free pie at the end
Loved eating in a historical location and learning all about the Knott family. The food was wonderful. I ordered a chicken pot pie that came with a side of rubarb.
Their Chicken in their chicken soup is to die for! Price is a bit steep though giving it three stars!
Charged my card twice when they added their tip, food was average. People have to be hungry to think this was great. Service was weak, a refill on a five dollar drink would be nice. Fast food is up to par with this.
Just like I remembered it from many years ago.same delicious food, updated decor & dedicated staff.
