I lived here about 1.5 years and I had no issues! The residents who live in this building are all extremely friendly and lean towards the younger side; very few families mainly just younger individuals. It's a super walkable location with lots of fun restaurants/bars near by and since it's in such a compact/busy area I felt really safe walking alone.

Abel the maintenance manager deserves 5 stars! He's super prompt to respond to any maintenance requests and gets back to you in a few hours of you submitting any issue, him and the other staff who work at the muse are super friendly and keep the complex very clean and smelling like Fabuluso! Definitely the best on-site staff I've encountered in my many years of renting! Thank you for all your hard work!

As for the apartments, they're a bit outdated which is why I'm moving. The showers are small and old, the kitchen cabinets are outdated, and the carpet and bathroom flooring needs to be replaced to match what they're asking for in rent prices. Also, if you have a pet, this area does not have any grass near by- pressure washing the sidewalks would be really helpful, especially in the Summer cause it gets stinky. LA is full of Essex properties and I feel like most of their apartment complexes (I've toured) all need updating, its a huge company that turns over apartments as quick as possible instead of updating them.

Besides the outdated apartments, I loved the rooftop pool/grill area and the gym! I've never had issues with packages being stolen or loud neighbors.

But I'd definitely recommend this complex for any young adults looking for a friendly apartment & fun neighborhood! The building is extremely secure, close to major highways, and very central in Noho. It's been great!

We’re new tenants but love it so far! Ivan and Aaron made the process super easy and already love the amenities. Aaron was especially helpful getting us ready for moving day (which is always stressful with a toddler).

The unit I was interested in viewing was not available; however, they were able to place me on the waiting list.

I just moved in. Chantelle and Aaron were both amazing in this journey of getting this apartment. The Apartment building is very nice. And the residents so far are either super nice or very quiet.

Our lease agreement was done with the amazing help of Aaron Trujillo, whom was very responsive, diligent and trustworthy. I definitely recommend him and their leasing office.

One of the worst apartment experiences I have ever had.
I had two different water-related maintenance issues that took well over 24 hours to respond to each time. The gym is like a hotel gym, super limited equipment, and what is there is damaged, or otherwise unusable.
The community was pretty quiet when I moved in, but the last four or five months I was there, it got really loud, especially at night. More than once I‘d wake from a dead sleep to people screaming at each other and slamming doors on weeknights.
Communication from the leasing office is inconsistent and not usually complete.
They no longer accept packages at the leasing office (they announced they would stop well before the pandemic). With so few other amenities, what’s the point in even living in an apartment building if I also have to hope my package gets to me?
I moved to a 1-bedroom another complex after with way better amenities, a set system for packages, parking for everyone plus guests, and it’s only $140 more than I was paying for a studio in Muse.
The building’s fire alarms go off frequently, sometimes overnight, for seemingly no reason.
At one point I expressed my disappointment to someone in the office and they never bothered to follow up on what issues I was having, showing me their either know it sucks living there, or they don’t care (probably both).
The reason for two stars, as opposed to only one: Abel is great. I don’t blame the slow response on him. I think he’s overworked and under resourced. When he can get to a maintenance issue, he’s super fast, explains the issue, and is thorough and clean.
The location is fine. Close to Republic of Pie, EAT, and Ralph’s, among other things.
The staff is.fine. I don’t blame them 100%, even. I think Essex, as a company, sucks.
All in all, whenever I saw people getting tours, I wanted to tell them to find somewhere else and avoid living there at all costs.
I paid two rents for two months just to get out of there as soon as I could.

Just moved in and so far, I really am pleased with my choice! Aaron and Sydney were very helpful to support with the tour and move in process. Aaron answered all my obnoxious questions with a breeze. I wish my unit actually got more light on this side but at least I face some trees instead of the inside of the apartment.

I would give it 5 stars because it has everything I need, however, the fitness center could use some more equipment for a better leg day! Definitely could use a few more things. Hoping the pool area will open soon as well!

These apartments were great when Auren & Andrea were property managers after these two left everything went downhill! I lived here for 12 years and I would’ve never wrote this review but it’s gotten so horrible lately! Good luck trying to get someone in the office on the phone because they almost never answer.

The communication here is absolutely horrible. I’m just really upset because no one should have to complain about their rentcafe system not working properly for years (yes it’s true that’s what I said years!) and I know every new tenant that moves in gets a new account so why is it so difficult to start a new rent cafe account? Long story short they didn’t receive rent that was mailed out to them and was super quick to let it be known they didn’t receive rent but won’t fix the system provided to avoid this mishap. Talk about furious! I’m beyond livid!

If this was 12 years ago I would’ve said yes to moving here but today it’s a big No! You’re better off going somewhere else.

I've lived here since it opened. Nice building. Newly painted and pretty much well maintained. Current Manager, Sandra Rivera, responds quickly to any issues or requests that might come up.thankfully!
